Who is the cloaked woman in RE5?

Just who is the cloaked woman? I want to know everyone's opinion.

My guess is that she is the mysterious tube girl (who I think is Sherry).

But then who the hell is the blonde girl in the red dress (that Chris catches in his arms)?

Or are all 3 women one and the same? Are there adult Sherry clones? Is Sherry held prisoner by the woman in white ("Chesty") and the cloaked henchwoman? Or is someone else the prisoner while a brainwashed Sherry is the cloaked henchwoman?

In the Capcom trailer #6, in the scene where the camera zooms in on masked woman's face while she is driving "fireworks" guy, her jaw outline made me think of Jill. Of course, Jill being aligned with Wesker's underlings makes no sense (unless she has been brainwashed) and it is probably just my undying hope that Jill makes her way into RE5.

Looking at the pictures I've added as attachments, the jaw outline for masked woman and tube girl look similar. Also, tube lady is wearing an apparent black leather outfit and the cloaked woman (when she hops off the pier into the boat) wears an all black outfit underneath as well.

The woman in the mask is definatiely a woman. Its possible that the tube girl has been scrapped but until we play the game or get more info, I'm not sure.

I doubt that she's been scrapped. Her presence was one of the earliest things released (in the picture I included in my initial post). Also, the scene of her opening her eyes was very prominent in last summer's trailer.

I imagine she is quite important to the story. Especially if she is Sherry Birkin.

I'm thinking that the girl in the mask isn't Sherry. If she's such a precious specimen, to the US govt, and to Wesker too, then I doubt they'd just let her walk about and be kidnapped, killed or injured.

The fireworks guy (the gun dealer?) looks quite different from this guy in the car with the cloaked woman. Plus, I think he's the one driving (isn't Africa right-hand drive?). Anyway, I think its probably Sherry, or whoever that woman in the tube was supposed to be. Didn't Takeuchi say that the woman at the end of the trailer was someone from the past who we haven't seen in a long time? I mean, it fits. The suit shes wearing seems like a somewhat logical progression of her characters design, all black.

Hard to tell, Dot, but in the Famitsu picture, the guy appears to be wearing a white jacket with an open collared shirt which looks to be the same pattern as "fireworks" guy; that's what I based my opinion on.

I'm not sure if Africa is right hand driving...Japan is. I think Europe is too. In the Famitsu picture, the masked woman has her arms extended as if driving, and her movements in the trailer (while in the car) seem as if she is also driving.

All this speculation is driving me nuts.

Stars1356 - if there's anything resembling an "Alice" in this game, I will vomit into an envelope and send it to Capcom.

SelfishGene - I think if Sherry has some sort of powers (ala Wesker) from the G-Virus, then she'd easily be used by Wesker to do his dirty work. Also, I still think that "extra" level in Umbrella Chronicles has something to do with Sherry...perhaps her training...

No Dot it is the same guy. That scan doesn't show the facial hair or the color of the shirt very well but if you look in one of the videos you'll see its the same.

Well, the scan does show facial hair, while the beginning of the trailer shows a clean shaven guy. But the clothing, hair color, and facial features seem to be the same for both.

It looks as if the lady in white is injecting someone, or herself in the trailer. But she (and cloaked woman) appear to be looking at someone unseen in the room. And when they get up and walk out, it looks like a cell door they pass. So maybe there is another person held captive (perhaps the blonde in the red dress)?

There's an "extra" level unlocked in UC, after you've beaten every level. It's just a shooting level, contained in a single room. If you die, a girl's scream is heard. If you beat the entire assault of naked zombies, the unseen, unnamed character goes back to a CT-scan looking machine and lies down. It's very weird. You can find it on youtube. I'll see if I can, and then post the link here.

I wouldn't completely say you're mistaken. I mean, they could be two different guys. As long as "fireworks" guy gets shot in the face by Redfield, as opposed to him mutating into some sort of monster later in the game. That really bugged me about RE4 - how everyone kept mutating (REUC did that crap too, with Sergei).

As for the scream, I think the programmers were just being lazy and used a young woman's scream (though it is Rebecca's). The vantage point is also lower than any of the other characters in the game, making it seem like a shorter girl.

Who knows - maybe that extra level doesn't really mean anything.

His facial features are also the same. It's the same guy. As for the woman in white....she is injecting something into someone else. It clearly isn't her neck, and I doubt you would inject something into the same arm you have attached to your hand. While she is injecting whatever it is into whomever, she moves her hand up and away from a body. I don't think its the masked woman because when the two leave, she comes from a different side of the room.

Considering the fact that fireworks guy and birdmask are together, I don't think he will exactly be working to help Chris. But then again who knows since none of these characters have been given names nor do we know their exact roles. For all we know, when the guy said yous two he could have been talking about the lady in the white dress and bird mask. It would certainly fit. He looks to be on a boat, and birdmask is scene jumping down from a larger platform to a powerboat.

As for UC....I doubt the extra level is played as Sherry. If that was the case, they probably would have had a bit more mention of her.

No, I'm thinking "fireworks" guy is saying "youse two are just in time for the fireworks show...BOOM" to Chris and Sheva. Obviously fireworks, lady in white, and cloaked woman are all in cahoots. They probably all work for Wesker. Maybe fireworks guy is a gun smuggler, and lady in white is his arm candy, while cloaked woman is their bodyguard?

And if cleavage lady is injecting someone else...then who is it? I agree that there is someone else there, and it seems as if whoever the prisoner is, he/she is groggy (as seen in the focusing shot on cloaked lady).
