Its really hard to tell at this early stage. They'll probably at least give them names soon, perhaps even a bit more detail about their roles as well. I think the lady in white is the one in charge...she is the one with the suitcase filled with mysterious syringes after all. I doubt simple arm candy would be given such big responsibility.

I scanned in the Famitsu, and you guys appear to be right. His sideburns are the same, and so is the collar pattern. He looks quite different when viewed from the side though.

Well, when you pair together Takeuchi's words, I'd assume that the cloaked woman and the woman wearing the Red outfit are one in the same. Do we have any point of height reference between the woman in red and the cloaked woman? Chris looks pretty tall over her.

Looking after a prisoner isn't that much responsibility. Either way, the way she's dressed (showing off her assets) makes me think she is arm candy. Who knows, after all, in the video game world she could be a diabolical mastermind with a PhD in nanotechnology. Cleavage woman or fireworks guy seem like one (or both) are wealthy.

With the evidence so far, I'd say we don't have a height reference. Of course, in the downloadable screen from RE.com, when Chris sees blonde in the red dress leaning on a balcony rail, she appears to be barefoot. So maybe that is why he hulks (no pun intended) over her. Whereas cloaked lady (when jumping down into the boat) has on some sort of heeled boots (like Sheva wears).

I try to pause it at the right moment, but sometimes in the trailer you can see eyes behind the red lenses of the penguin mask (I've seen numerous others call it a penguin mask).

We don't know who she is with exactly. It may not be a prisoner. And if it was a prisoner, yeah...that could be considered a big task depending on the status of the captured person. Obviously they care enough about using the mysterious sample on them.

That cloaked woman kinda turns me on.

Going by her jawline, she also reminds me of Jill aswell. Although I have a feeling that if Wesker has anything to do with this, he's perhaps also working as a henchman for him.

            Wesker.
            "Armcandy" Woman.
            Cloaked Woman.
            "Fireworks" Guy.
            Chainsaw "Sackhead" Villager.
Maybe Sherry Birkin has gone evil now too.

My personal view if that all three ladies are one and the same. Four, if you include woman in red as different to the others. There are several reason for this. The main one is that RE games never seem to have many woman, oddly. Outbreak is sorta an exception to this, but not by much.

RE: Jill and Rebecca (and, if you want, Lisa)
RE2: Claire, Ada, Sherry and Annette
              RE3: Jill
              RE:CV: Alexia and Claire
              RE 4: Ada and Ashley.
              RE UC: Jill, Rebecca, Ada

Compare that to the guys and I have a real issue think they'll have four or five woman in RE5. It would be nice, as it might extend the game and story, but my breath is not held. Combine that with the fact both the mask woman and Titties McBouncy you can't see there face then I'm guessing it's because it's someone we've already seen and aren't supposed to know its her. There's no reason for that with Boobies, at least, except to give the shot with her chest more time.

                Girl in cloak

My guess is that she is the mysterious tube girl (who I think is Sherry).

But then who the hell is the blonde girl in the red dress (that Chris catches in his arms)?

Or are all 3 women one and the same? Are there adult Sherry clones? Is Sherry held prisoner by the woman in white ("Chesty") and the cloaked henchwoman? Or is someone else the prisoner while a brainwashed Sherry is the cloaked henchwoman?

In the Capcom trailer #6, in the scene where the camera zooms in on masked woman's face while she is driving "fireworks" guy, her jaw outline made me think of Jill. Of course, Jill being aligned with Wesker's underlings makes no sense (unless she has been brainwashed) and it is probably just my undying hope that Jill makes her way into RE5.

Looking at the pictures I've added as attachments, the jaw outline for masked woman and tube girl look similar. Also, tube lady is wearing an apparent black leather outfit and the cloaked woman (when she hops off the pier into the boat) wears an all black outfit underneath as well.

Well if the girl was n a tube maybe its that girl from the resident eil movies 0.o how cool would that be!!

I'am agree with darkmoon about re lack of female chracters (did the same count yesterday) but I think that the boobies girl is the different person and all the rest are a tube girl aka Shery, imo we will first meet her as a masked bodyguard, than as a nelpless blond and than we will find out who she is during a fight with her, she will defeat Chris but wont be able to kill him, instead she will help to fight Wescer but would be killed aving Chris in the final fight. I think that kind of a script is in a re style

I personally think the masked person is Sherry. As for Ms. Tits in white however, I have no idea.

i think its another new character... personally i really dont think its sherry, if it was shed be a bit shorter for a woman of 22-25, i think she looks like the type to be an assassin... but i also think that we wont know untill we play the game... so even if we are debating on this subject we cant know for sure...

Though I don't want the girl to be Sherry, most all the details they have said about her so far (which isn't that many) points to it being Sherry. Age really has nothing to do with height. I do agree that debating is rather pointless. They'll release her identity soon or when the game comes out.

However, simply saying something is pointless wont stop people from discussing it. It's good to hear other peoples' ideas because it generates conversation.

Well, I believe that Sherry is definitely the blonde in the red dress.

As for tube girl...I don't know. She seems to be a blonde as well, and appears to be a young woman, around Sherry's age of 22.

As for the cloaked / masked woman - her face and body are covered for a reason. She's someone we'd recognize easily, otherwise she wouldn't be so shrouded in mystery. Her jaw outline matches the tube girl...but her jaw outline and lips (in the zoom in shot, that lingers on her, while she is in the van with fireworks guy) also matches Jill's REmake model. Now, how or why Jill would be associated with the evildoers, I don't know. Either she's undercover, or being manipulated. (Jill was acting awful strange in the "Umbrella's End" scenario of RE:UC. Also, Jill WAS infected by Nemesis...maybe there's been some subtle plot points to prod her in the direction of evil...but probably not.)

Some people have speculated that it is Ada underneath the cloak, but I don't think so. The jaw structure doesn't match Ada's face.

And it also doesn't match Claire's face (in her updated character model from "Degeneration.")

That doesn't leave any other female characters, except for Rebecca...but I am gonna say Rebecca just doesn't fit into RE5.

The masked / cloaked woman has to be someone that would be identifiable by the audience. Why would Capcom disguise a brand new character?

It's possible that it's a returning character. Claire makes most sense storyline wise, if Sherry is in the game. Certainly more than Chris himself finding Sherry. Jill also works somewhat. Either could be under cover trying to find out the source of Firework's newest weapons...living people corrupted into monsters that aren't zombies. If that's whose behind it, of course, or the front man for it. I'm too concerned by the models and such, since they might still be tweaked...and I'm not one to believe in Capcom having an eye for such things.

Ada would only make sense with Leon, so I doubt it's her, and while I'd love to see Rebecca again I somehow doubt it.

I still think it's actually Sherry herself. If part of Chris' mission is to find her, and he has a photo, then it would explain why she's masked (in game play terms). I suspect they've decided to go the Alice route with her, making her a super powered bad ass chick, and so if she's being fed on a cocktail of happy drugs to keep her under control she'd make an effective fighter and bodyguard.

As to why Capcom might disguise a new character...because it looks cool?
