  • Biohazard II Beta 2

I've got a copy of this Beta yesterday and tried to play it.
So far it seems very interesting but I heared that there
are RE 1.5 Locations on this Disc. Does anyone of you know
a page where I can find a list where the Locations I can choose
between in the Debug Menu bring me to? It was luck that
I got this disc. I bought the normal RE2 (I only had the Dual Shock
Edition before) for PSX but instead of the Full Game I've got this
Disc, and I'm pretty sure it's Beta 2.

    Leon Scot Kennedy,

It's really only one room and it isn't even fully playable. You can't really move around and the room proportions are off.

Hang on, so the trial version, which came out LATER, has more 1.5 locations than the beta, which came out EARLIER? That doesn't make much sense.

You most likely have the Trial version. If it loads in a normal Playstation (unmodded), its a dead giveaway

No I surely don't have the Trial. The Trial has a 10 Minute Countdown.
Mine not. I can start a New Game and choose between Leon and Leon B.
Claire's not available. If I press select I get into a kind of Debug Menu where
I can choose every room, including the cutscenes.

I don't think that only sounds like a Trial.

            Sounds deffinitly like BETA 2.
Can you describe/scan the disk art/cover?

I could but it wouldn't be of any use. As I already wrote
I bought the original Resident Evil 2 for PSX cause I only had
the Dual Shock Edition. So the cover is the same, and the disc
is black on both sides. Sry to disappoint you but I may be able
to make some screenshots of the game for you as a proof.
But I will make them with an Emulator. Screenshots from my
TV never look that good (already tried it a few times)

The one with the ten minute timer is the Demo of RE2. Beta 2 is almost identical to the final version. If the Title Screen says just Biohazard 2 then you have the Beta, if it says Trial/Preview, its the REC trial demo.

Is it the one on the top, most right?

USA demo. PO, whats up with your Directors Cut? Take a knife to it?

Put a sticker on it I got with another Capcom game way back when. The sticker didn't like the rotation of the drive back when I would play the game for weeks on end and started to come apart. I guess the adhesive was strong and when I pulled the sticker off, it took part of the disc with it. It still plays fine though...

Yikes. It reminds me of a disc Carn has for Director's Cut. The ink must have run dry or something when they were pressing the label. Only DIRECTORS CUT is visible, haha.

I once had a Resident Evil 2 Leon Disk that was so scratched, it looked like tree rings
