On youtube there are videos of people knifing every enemy in the RE4, exsept Salazar maybe. It is possible to make but takes to much time and very dangerous.

Haven't thought about Salazar. You are right. You can't
attack him with knife. It doesn't matter for me. I would
never try to play the main game only with knife. The only
part of the game where I only use knife is the first part
until you get to the village.

Does anybody here know if there are differences between
the GC and the PC/PS2 Version of Mercenaries?
Just bought the French GC Version and I'm now trying
          to again play through.

Well other than the arrival of some enemies, I don't think there is anything. Here's a short list of the differences in the bosses I've noticed. Keep in mind its been a long while since I've played so some things may be a bit fuzzy.

GC Village = Bellas seem to come after a few minutes. Don't kill them fast enough and another pair will come too for 4 Bellas to kill.

PS2 Village = Pretty much the same

GC Commando = JJ (pretty sure that's his name, guy with the gattling gun) seems to appear very fast, spawning more frequently than any of the other major bosses. I think I counted....6 or 7 times maybe?

PS2 Commando = I haven't played this level as often but I think JJ spawned less frequently, about 2 or 3 times.

GC Castle = Only ever had 3 garridors

PS2 Castle = no changes that I ever noticed.

GC Waterworld = Dr. Salvador comes twice. Depending on the starting location he may chase you quicker than another time. Would start out in the little room in the building that on top has the slider on it more often in the GC.

PS2 Waterworld = Salvador still arrives twice (that I've seen) but, depending on the starting position, he is there almost from the start of the battle to kill you. Personally, don't know how it is for others, but I seemed to start more outside on the high platform or on the ground below it.

Again....I haven't played in a long time but those are the slight changes I remember. Items, timers, unlocking characters are all the same.

Could need help. Maybe it sounds like I'm a beginner but I'm not.
I need help with Garrador. I always only reach circa 13000 in the
Castle until Garrador appears and kills me. He's no problem with
Krauser, but he's the one I can unlock in the castle. Wesker could
blow him up but the grenades don't help me, I already tried it.

Can anyone give me a little strategy? It looks silly to have
a 72.200 Highscore in Waterworld but only 14.720 in the Castle.

                  Two things:

                  1. I can't reach his back, cause there are too many Ganados blocking my way.
                  2. I never get his crawl stucked in the wall. Only in Leons/Adas/Weskers Head.

I have to worry about the Ganados too. Sometimes they are blocking my
way and I have to shoot some. Then Garrador runs to me, and attacks me cause
I can only run into the Ganados who are surrounding me.

Check out the videos on the RE4 page, Leon. They should give you a good indication on what to do for each character when the Garrador comes.

                      Ok thanks for help.
After I was bored of trying to win, and always die, I played
all the maps just for fun. And: Now I got 30.000 Score in
the castle and Krauser. Finally... Now I have a 73.760
                      Score with him.

Maybe this question doesn't completely belong but I
ask it anyways. How do I get the Handcannon?
Do I have to win on every stage with every character?
Or is there another way? Maybe by playing through on
                        Professional?

I use the French GC PAL Version and only played through
the game on "Easy Mode". In Mercenaries I have 5 Stars
with Krauser on every stage and with Hunk in the
                        Village.

60,000 or above with every character on every stage gets you the hand cannon.

Oh my god... There's still a long way to go. Thanks for the information.
With Wesker, there shouldn't be a problem. But I don't know how to
defeat the Garradors with the other 3 Characters beside Wesker and
Krauser. Guess I just have to train and fight them until I get good enough
                            and know their weaknesses.

Use sniper rifle on them if you play as Ada or Wescer, and about 3 hits with Leon's shotgun in their back will be enough, don't forget about grenades. And if you beat the game on Pro. you will have a PRL cannon that shoots with rays that kills only plagas but not the hosts, so no crows killing and barrel destroing with it, But it's a preaty useless weapon. And try to beat the game on normal difficulty, on easy some files and locations are closed.

The PRL is not that useless. If you load up it's blast
you can deal good damage like you are using the
rocketlauncher and a flash grenade at the same time.
I really enjoyed the weapon in the PC Version.
I only played through the game on easy to get "The
Mercenaries" and "Assignment Ada". Next time I'll do
it on normal. On Professional I think I will die. I never
had enough ammunition from chapter 5-1 on.
