There's no mention of the Progenator in either the script or the files, so far as I can see, using the GameFaqs version of both and typing in Pro in case I can't spell. Or Africa, either.

Unless it's only mentioned in Biohazard CODE: Veronica? I'll have a look through the file transcripts in Biohazard Archives later tonight (at least for the word Africa (アフリカ)). I'm at work at the moment.

This thread has gone to hell.

It was supposed to be ask ONE question, and then answer that ONE question. Then ask one yourself.

To rescue Jill/Chris (when you are playing Chris/Jill correspondingly) you have to find three MO Discs and activate them in Laboratory (three readers - one per disc - are placed in various rooms). With three activated discs, you can go to the cell room in Laboratory, where you will find Jill/Chris. You will need to return to that room in order to open the door after the first fight with the Tyrant (if the alarm turns on, the door will unlock automatically, if not - you will need to use Master Key).

Then, if you're playing as Chris, to rescue Rebecca, you have to not let her die in mansions (she might be killed by Hunter); if she shows up in Dormitory (I believe you achieve it by not ordering her to stay in medic room), then she's safe. If not, then after you return to the mansion you will hear her scream and you need to go to the library as soon as you can and kill a Hunter that is about to kill Rebecca.

If you are playing as Jill, things get a little complicated. In the original version of RE you have to trust Barry, and to achieve that: when he drops the rope after the second battle with Yawn, you have to wait until he returns; in the underground tunnels, when you meet Barry, you need to go with him. I don't remember if it's important to go behind him or not, but you just need to be near him, otherwise he might be killed by a Hunter. In other words, you have to do everything to make him believe you trust him, and not let him die.
In Remake it's a lot easier - before the confrontation with Lisa in underground tunnels the game will ask you directly "Trust Barry? Yes/No". Then you just have to net let him die in the battle with Lisa.

Of course, you can't rescue all four characters (Jill, Chris, Barry and Rebecca).

@ Rosetta Mist : Since the new chief researcher, John (Ada's hubby from the Chicago research facility) transferred to the Arklay Mansion facility around 1995 (according to the WR2) we can assume that by the time RE2 occurs, John and Ada had been dating for at least 2 years. There's no mention when she arrived in Raccoon City...

@ Twist : None. He has a butler to screw in light bulbs.

@ himher_elle : The only game Africa was mentioned in was Resident Evil 0 during Billy's flashback. Otherwise, Africa was only barely mentioned in the second Wesker's Report through the Ebola HFV reference. Only two files in Code Veronica mention the Mother Virus : "Alexander's Memo" and the "Queen Ant Report". To my knowledge, there isn't an Africa reference in either of them, but then again, I haven't seen direct translations of the Japanese files, only what was in the game...

@ The Orginization : Clever movie editing. As Chris, you can only save Jill and Rebecca. As Jill, you can only save Chris and Barry. That's it.

My Question : What the hell happened to all of the Outbreak scenarios we were promised?

Thanks! I've been reading the CV files but none says anything, I don't understant why the RE5 team sead that one of the main reasons they did RE5 in Africa was becouse of the CV referencess of it being the birthplace of the mother virus or progenitor (whatever).

This just shows how dumb the producers are and they keep forgetting what they said. Originally they said that they chose Africa because it was the birthplace of life.

Probably still hidden somewhere in whereever Capcom keeps their data.

I doubt they'll ever see the light of day, since a File 3 is determined by how well the previous ones did. We got a File 2 because File 1 sold very well (despite it's reviews, so I'm betting it's more the hype). File 2 sold terrible, IIRC.

A while ago I heard some theories that we did get the scenarios, just modified (e.g. The Motel Scenario was changed into Hellfire). I don't think that's the case though, since there's still a lot of unused NPCs hidden in the disk (e.g. Micky (I think that's the name), who was in said motel scenario).

I wish Capcom would re-release it for the PS3 or something. I mean there's the PS3's harddrive and a Blu-Ray could hold 5x+ what a DVD could hold... Polish it up a bit and Outbreak would've been bloody awesome (I still love the game despite it's flaws).

Well, Helegad and PO are both basically correct.

                        Okay, new question:

Which *weakest* B.O.W. could stalemate Nemesis in a fist fight?

By "weakest" I mean the physically weakest bioweapon that could hold a candle to the Nemesis.

Proto Tyrant?... His spine is exposed which would render him "weak", and seems the weakest of all the tyrants... I honestly can't see anything else being able to stand up to Nemesis without being thrown across the room and then proceeding to be shot at with a rocket launcher.

                          Am I close?

Africa was also where Ebola was first discovered.

                              Hmm, I don't know. :]

The thing with the P - Tyrant is his slow movement and the fact that any B.O.W. could just tear his spine out.

Then again, I did say weakest... Maybe the original Tyrant? He's not as strong as the Nemesis [?] and isn't as strong as the Super Tyrant, so I guess that would render him weak in some way.

Actually, your right. I think it's a mix of the Proto - T and the original Tyrant from BH:1/REmake.

I'm not sure where to put this, so I was hoping someone here could help me. I have a question about the Biohazard 2 "preview" disk that came with the Biohazard 1 Directors Cut.

Is it possible to disable the timer?
                                &
Is it possible to get the "L" key?

Everytime I enter the room and pick up the key, Ada appears and the trial ends. I hope I haven't broken any rules :|, any help would be most appreciated
