Own 'em all. Opened them all.
I figure the only reason to keep them sealed is if you plan to re-sell them. I certainly don't.

My favorite figures are Ivy, and William G-2. William I think they really captured the likeness, and bundling him with Sherry was a good idea. The Ivy's mouthparts also open and close really well. And they got the arms just right. The only complaint on Ivy is that the legs are a bit thick compared to with in the game. But I think it's much better than the Moby Dick Ivy (which I think is one of their ugliest).

They were actually released in 3 series.

I always wondered why some of them had "platinum" labeled on the package. I always thought that all Biohazard 2 figures were a serie's in themselve's, without ever needing a... follow on?

Not really a re-release are they?

The platinum line isn't a re-release.
I got them all when they came out.
I got the first 3 Resident evil 2 figures @ Christmas 1998. By the time I was in the USA in July 1999 the platinum line had come out. They were definately released later. Possibly to release with the PC release of Resident Evil 2 (Which is called Resident Evil 2: Platinum). It containted all the sketch and FMV galleries, which can also be found in the Dreamcast Version. I don't know if the Dreamcast version was called 'Resident Evil 2: Platinum'. I've got Biohazard 2: Value plus on the Dreamcast (JP release).

I really like the Ivy, altough Ada is not really that good to me....
I also love that Hunter, the Birkin that comes with Sherry and Hunk...

I have: Ada/Ivy, Tyrant, Forest / Zombie... all opened, but I kept the packages. This line of figures are really hard to find here in Brazil....

I'm missing the Cris Redfield pack. One of the few RE figures that I don't have.
I'll have to grab one soon to complete my Toybiz set.

I agree, S-gene. The Birkin figure is awesome! and comes with the only Sherry figure ever made. Like you, I also open all of mine. I buy them for ME, because I'm just a big kid and I don't plan on reselling them.

Edit: One of the only other figures I don't have, is by coincidence, Cris from Palisades. I've looked at buying it a number of times but it gets really expensive and I think "F**k it". It will probably only get more expensive too, since he will star in RE5. I got nearly all of mine years ago when they were all so much cheaper.
I like the herbs and typewriter that comes with him...

I have all of them except for the the hunter, Tyrant and Birkin. I opened them up and played with them, but I threw away the packaging (I was only 9 or 10 when I got them). I REALLY regret throwing the packaging away.

I bought the one that came with Sherry. I still remember the day I got that fig. I was playing around with it while walking around the mall when some older kid went up to me and said something like "Dude, that looks awesome, where did you get that?"

Haha... Yep they are not normal toys to be playing outside xD, sadly when I was younger I didn't have the chance to play with any of these figures cause they weren't for sale here.
I'm also about to get Hunk/Zombie because I think that the zombie figure looks awesome.

It's pretty great, but the Zombie that comes with Hunk is the same one you get with the Forest Zombie except repainted, without a lab coat and with a different head. Still a great addition and builds up a small Zombie army. :]
