8 hours of cut-scenes? Isn't that a bit too long for a RE game? The Twin Snakes had around 2.5 hours of cut-scenes and MGS4's main cut-scenes length was around 9 hours.

IIRC, back when the first trailer for RE5 came out and there was that light/dark rumor going on that there would be alot of heat in the light which would cause you to hallucinate or something and see things that weren't really there (mirages) ala RE3.5... It was just rumors and the new trailers pretty much killed those rumors anyway...

It all has me stoked! But EIGHT hours of cut scenes? I don't know about that...I do love the RE series so I guess it will be okay...but cut scenes are what deterred me from the Metal Gear series. MGS 1 had so many dumb cut scenes that interfered with game play that I banned that series forever.

I guess if the RE5 cut scenes are handled like RE4, where they don't occur until (mostly) after a stage is cleared, then it will be okay. Metal Gear had like 5 minutes of gameplay, 5-7 minute cut scene, 5 minutes gameplay, 5-7 minute cut scene, etc.

I wonder, now, now many minutes / hours of cut scenes RE4 had, total?

I believe the magazine comes out on newstands October 14. It might be earlier for people that have a subscription.
