Are 8 hours of high quality cut scenes even possible?
This is coming out on the 360 too, so they would have to fit the 8hrs of movies AND the game on a dvd. Kinda hard to believe.
I would assume Capcom have a contractual obligation to make both versions near identical, so unless they plan on releasing it on multiple disks (which there is a reluctance to do), I doubt that. The game will only be as big and as long as the 360 is capable of storing.
If it's bullshit, then rest of the info becomes suspicious but if it's a typo or translation error, then the rest of the info sounds quite believable.

btw, I'm no tech expert so feel free to correct my logic... I just find the whole 8 hours thing to be a bit crazy.

Eight hours of cut scenes is absolute bullshit, no way that's happening. That's not opinion, that's fact.

In total (main game with all its alternate cut-scenes, Assignment Ada, Separate Ways + Ada's Report) RE4 had 1h 38min 26s of cut-scenes... I've just checked all the movies in PC version ;P

So, either Kojima is responsible for RE5 scenario, or 8 hours of cut-scenes in RE5 is just a total bullshit.

Why not? Cut-scenes are in real time, so most of the 3d models and textures are already there, used in game. The only thing that require additional space is hi-poly models/textures (mostly for characters) and sound. And just look at Mass Effect - so many dialogues with dialogues trees (and two genders for the main character), and it was still possible to fit the game onto DVD.

Cutscenes do not take up any space on the disk for the most part. RE cutscenes (barring FMV's) are done the same way the MGS series is, all rendered in-game.

Most of the info sounds plausible, however:

          1) 8 hours for an RE game is highly unlikely
          2) A white Drebin who only sells you guns for a short period of time before turning evil and trying to kill you?
          3) It's GameFAQs.

The more I read it (just skimmed it the first time) the more I noticed that it does look pretty fake. There are multiple grammatical errors (Chris shaving Sheva, lack of puncuation, etc), and some of the info seems a bit sketchy.

Looks like he jusr typed the information in it, this is not the actual text that would be on the magazine.

He just breezed over the articles, and typed up the base of everything in it.

Apparently he has 56k. That's why he hasn't uploaded it yet. Sucker.

Apparently, in RE5, Chris shaves Sheva's ass.
That could be the most relevant info in the article.

Okay. I guess I was thinking more along the lines of high quality FMVs. Those movie bits with all kinds of stuff you never see 'in game'.

Well of course he "just typed" the information. He wouldn't be able to copy and paste from a phsyical object onto a PC would he now!
