  • Need Jap Translator with Outbreak File 2 & cheat device

I don't know if this has been found before, or if it's just nothing.

Put this code in to have all documents on any scenario in resident evil outbreak file 2.
    204da160 ffffffff
    204da164 ffffffff

Go to the Wild Things scenario and at the bottom of the files list there's 2 documents each about 16 pages long that are entirely Japanese. They might be nothing more than documents that are already in english in the game but their japanese counterpart is still there too, but I was wondering what they say.

EDIT: whoops should've of checked first

I forgot you was a fellow code finder well done on finding all codes ;-)P
I've got loads more codes for re4 to release yet ;-) as well as my character mods that I mentioned before for the pc version that i've to release cos I fried my graphics card as well as getting a virus on
    my old HDD.

Can you take screenshots or do a dump of the data? I have two people I can pass them by and see if one of them has free time enough to translate them.

"Jap" is a pretty offensive, racially charged term for a Japanese person.

It is also the region code for digital products from Japan.

The term is a relic from WWII and anyone who really takes offense to it anymore (unless the context is intentionally racist) is pretty stupid. Here it's used because "Japanese" won't fit in the topic title.

Would you mind taking screenshots of them somehow? 16 pages is a bit much for a mere file.

The game title mentioned was Resident Evil Outbreak File 2? Is that correct? Biohazard Outbreak File 2 would make more sense in containing the Japanese files...

Oh, so I'm stupid because I find something to be uncouth? Please stop trolling.

While the word could be deemed as offensive by some, it's clearly not used in a derogatory context nor was any racism implied. As CiarenDevlin pointed out, "Jap" was used because "Japanese" wouldn't fit in the topic title.

Please take this argument to PM's (if you need to do so) as it is currently derailing the topic at hand.

The code's current format is similar to that of the PS2's Code Breaker. So I'll give that a shot if I have a code breaker. I've gone through so many cheat devices to try and find different things within the games. Nothing's gonna beat my GameShark Pro for the PS1 through. That was fun since it had a built-in memory editor and cheat code editor so you could find your own cheats in a sense... I miss those days where you didn't need the memory dump of a game to make codes for it...

If I don't have a code breaker, I guess I'll have to find someone who does

Never knew. I was just trying to make it fit in the title.

This isn't for Biohazard. It's the NTSC version Resident Evil Outbreak File 2 in the US, Mexico, and Canada that I found this in. You can use this code for any cheat device. I'll encrypt the code for a few devices.

                    1CDC228C 61DFB00C

The RAW code should work fine in any other cheat device.

I don't have any method to get a picture of it.

@Project Omega: You can use the PS2 emulator to try on some games and find codes.
That or get a codebreaker and use the 4xxxxxxx type code on a bunch of addresses at once and you might find some good codes. That's how I've found almost every one of my codes so far. People severely underestimate how much they can find with a wild guess or trying some addresses near other codes. Usually wherever there is one code there is usually a bunch more within 20 addresses.

EDIT: They might be useless. I just took a glance and both files end in (VOL1). The first one is 15 pages and I saw a list that had FINE, CAUTION, CAUTION, DANGER. The second one had AIPC in it a few times. They might just be little tutorial documents, but I don't know for sure.

I remember Jarnold posting about this on gamefaqs. No beta stuff ever came of it, so I'm guessing they're probably just that - the Japanese version of the manuals.

I recall that as well, it's the Training Ground files.
