After watching my friend play DMC4 on he's PC I'm considering waiting for the PC version of RE5 anyone else going to do this? Going by Lost Planet and DMC4 Capcom wait around 6 months before releasing on the PC but with RE5 if I had to guess it would be much longer...probably when sales start to plateau. So the upside is you're going to play RE5 in all it's splendor and possibly with extra features but you'll have to wait a while.

Wasn't it pretty much confirmed that they are developing it on the PC first?PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

The engine they are using is the same one that powered DMC4, so yeah, I have no doubt that it'll get a PC release. Though, it will probably be a long time. Maybe 6 months or more. If you can wait that long, go for it, but I know I cant
Shane Kim let it slip that it was coming to PC, and so did some other Capcom executive.

Capcom's MT Framework engine games are built on the PC then are ported down to PS3/360. Yes Dot is right there have been plenty of slips a few members of the dev team have mentioned a PC release the only question is when and being Capcom's cash cow to maximize console sales we could be waiting some time...it took two years for RE4 to come to the PC but to be fair Capcom have changed their attitude drastically when it comes to the PC.

Drastically... in a good or bad way? RE1, 2, 3 had good PC ports, but Gun Survivor and RE4 were fit for the toilet.
I assume you mean that they really couldn't be bothered about PC versions either way, as long as they're making money. Capcom might as well discontinue it's PC support. Sadly, that's the humane thing to do

Pffft, "seriously". It wouldn't have taken much more effort to actually get good keyboard support into RE4. I seriously hate games for PC that are meant to be played with a gamepad. That's what consoles are for, dammit! And seeing signs like 'press whatever button is mapped to function 5' and 'press whatever button is mapped to function 2' in quicktime sequences are just a way to get my temper going. I'm using a keyboard; tell me to press a button like control or up.
I bet they'll implement DRM into the PC RE5. Actually, no, I KNOW they will do it.
