S rank in Survivor

How do you achieve this? My stats for my run just then were:

- About 45 min
- 90% accuracy
- Only two green+red herb combos
- No continues
- About 80 monsters killed

And I got an A. What is with this?

US version doesn't have an S rank (im pretty sure).

or if your playing the JP version, im stumped because those are kick ass stats.

And an S rank in my version is possible. I know this because I achieved it once on an emulator.

Well I never played Survivor, but what about saving the game?

Or maybe you are just allowed to use 1 herb like in RE2.
Also maybe you have to do something special within the game like in RECV bringing the styptic to Rodrigo (i guess there is nothing like that in survivor).

that's it, only the JP version of the game has S rank. The A rank is the equivalent of the japanese S rank though, so its the highest possible rank you can get.

The NTSC-U version has the S-Rank in Survivor.

oh yeah, apparently the US/EU versions of survivor do have S ranks in them too, i even mentioned it in my walkthrough :p , forgot all about it myself.

maybe its the difficulty level or the amount of enemies you killed.

I'm 100% sure that PAL PS1 has S Rank, cause like I've said, I managed to score it on an emulator.

I've done an even quicker run, but with minimal kills (something below 20). I got an A rank that time too, and I assumed it must be because I didn't kill enough.

Well, I'm stumped. This sucks.

based on the old guides you need to kill like 100+ enemies or so.

There is a points system so if you have a higher than required hit ratio you could have less kills ect...

Rocket Launcher:
Get an S rank, all 7 weapons and all 13 files (you can collect the weapons and files with multiple play throughs).

Fun fact: Biohazard Gun Survivor has more blood than the western Survivor releases.

Edit: btw, you can't get an S rank if you play on easy (who would play it on easy anyway?)
