The virus within Wesker is his greatest strength and his greatest weakness. Look at Morpheus, he was practically immortal. Bullets wouldn't even touch him, yet his defeat came when the virus within his body was exploited. He was damaged enough, and the virus went out of control and ended up fucking him up. The same could happen with Wesker. Chris just needs to find a way to trigger a mutation, mind you, I wonder if bullets would do any damage to Wesker?

In short, Wesker is a symbol of his fanbase - arrogant, shallow and pretentious.

I have the impression that he's still considered a minor character in the series. He's more of a plot device than a character, in fact. He's just not popular enough. Look at it like this, do the fangirls want to see some aged man with wrinkles and liver spots, or do they want to see some inhumanly attractive bishounen with sparkling eyes and oodles of charisma?

I always got the impression that Saddler was meant to be Spencer in pre-final RE4.

But then they decided to scrap his presence, and instead used what was left of him for Saddler and Aureolus Lorenzo Belli in Haunting Ground.

And on that note Lorenzo > Saddler by a fucking milestone.

I wonder if that's how Wesker will be defeated. I think Wesker's defeat would signal the end of the series since he is the only main baddie left around after Umbrella fell. Once he is gone, there is no one else who is trying to bring back Umbrella.
