I guess we shall just have to wait and see how RE5 turns out before we can continue this debate! I'm split, i just think Wesker is an interesting character with a rich back story. If they kill him then fine, just as long as he doesn't mutate into some kind of blob and if he escapes, and i mean with a viable reason rather than just running into the sunset saying 'I'll get that pesky Chris next time!!' then also fine.
I just feel that if he is dead, RE6 or any future title no matter who the badguy or what their plan is, it will just have a sense of feeling underwhelmed, exactly like RE4.

If wesker dies then so does resident evil because up to this point he's been keeping umbrella alive.

Just because Wesker dies the whole series has to end
Wesker isnt the main character of the series, it isnt all about him. The series really isnt about nobody actually. What the whole series is about is the continuation of the biohazard storyline. Having Wesker keep coming back would get old and tiring. I think Resident Evil needs to start adding more antagonists to the series than having only Wesker. Which is why they should kill him off in 5, make room for another new villain.

Well There has to be a reason for the outbreak to keep going and if the outbreak does continue which hopefully it doesnt i think we will be looking at another Resident Evil Exctintion but this time in game form

Resident Evil is always about outbreaks of viruses. That's the series basis. You can't just shift it to a different story altogether.

Oh really? and what should this new villan do exactly? The series is about nobody? What does that mean?? I agree having Wesker coming back will get old and tiring, BUT it doesn't mean he has to die with RE5. Not another new villan surely? Nicholai, Alfred/Alexia Ashford, Sergei, Salazar, Saddler, do we need anymore villans? If you look at the whole story, up until now, Morpheus Duvall's plot was prob the most dangerous, yet no one could care two cents bout him. Again, ur missing the point, yes RE could come up with new chatrcaters, new villans etc, but Wesker does not have to die to accomodate them.

I meant Wesker as a reoccuring villain. All the ones you listed were either blown up or killed somehow at the end of the game. Im not sure what point you are talking about. Wesker doesnt have to die, but he doesnt have to live either. Like I said the series is not all about Wesker, so there is no reason to keep him alive throughout the whole series, and killing him would certainly not destroy the series. If you agree that Wesker coming back is getting tiring then why do you then say you do not want him to die? Adding a new reoccuring villain wouldnt hurt. And I dont know, what should this new villain do....?

Thats fair enough and i agree, another recurring villan would be good. {I still count Nicholai as alive anyway}. All i mean to say is i am suprised by the amount of people who want Wesker to die and the series to more or less have a reboot.
Wesker is so integeral to the overall mythology that if he does die then i just feel that whoever comes after him will be an anticlimax, much like the TX to the T-1000 in the terminator films.

Iv had my theory way before spencer was semi confirmed.

I can see the final fight between wesker and chris, and eventually chris will win, whether or not wesker will transform, im not sure.

regardless chris will overcome his arch nemesis once and for all.

as he kills him, where-ever he is, self destruct makes a dash for it, escapes end credits all hunky dory.

                    EPILOGUE:
go bak to the death location, and Spencer returns, and yes his apparent death in that pic only makes his return more shockin. In his wheelchair, he scoots up to the body, and next 2 him is either 2 Ivan/Tyrants or HUNK.
He/Tyrant quietly kneels down and picks up weskers dead body and walks away.

Spencer has his revenge on Wesker for causing the demise of Umbrella, and we've almost come full circle, as Wesker is now under spencers control once again

                    Epic.

The worrying thing for me is that we have already seen from the trailers that Wesker gets umpteen amount of chances to kill Chris in this game, but he obvioulsy doesn't. That is also why i belive the climax of RE5 to be in the aircraft as its a situation neither of them can walk away from. Wesker can't pummel Chris half to death then walk off like he usually does.

Yeah i know, but that was actually a translation error. The original version the report is written by an unnamed UBCS member.

But who's listening to that eh? I think Nicholai should remain alive too and should have been Krauser in RE4 for me.

Well, according to UC the correct ending for RE3 is the one where Barry saves them in a chopper...and since those all happen when Nicholai escapes the chances are good that he isn't dead yet.

indeed but unfortunately i think Capcom would have brought him back by now if they still considered to use him. He could have slotted in at Sergei's Russian base perfectly.
