  • I personally don't think Wesker brainwashed, cloned or revived Jill...

    It just isn't his style...

The Tombstone is a part of a bigger plan from Jill and Chris to crush down Wesker

Or alternatively Jill just comes back from the dead wears a exoskeleton and calls herself deepthroa... i mean birdwoman...

    • Haha, I'll go with your big plan from Jill and Chris to bring down Wesker theory.

I really hope Jill isn't Birdwoman or Tube Girl, but who knows... We'll have to wait and see.

      • Long time ago, after the trailer of Captivate I wrote this post

"Surfing on internet I found this:

You're jumping to preconceived conclusions based on dialog heard out of context.

The "theres no humanity" line is in reference to the infected state that the villagers are in. Chris comes to the village and he can immediately tell that theres something wrong by looking at the people. I wont divulge what theyve been infected by... but Chris can tell that theres SOMETHING wrong... he knows that the villagers are usually vibrant and full of life... but now they're not. The entire village is infected hence theyre behavior. Including the big mob and the guy preaching the ominous rhetoric.

The "welcome to africa" line is just that... she's meeting Chris in africa and she's welcoming him. Nothing else.

the "my last partner was a woman" does sound pretty sexist to english speaking audiences but it was not Capcom's intention... there's very specific information they're trying to hint at or get across with that line. Pay attention. "

The last paragraph is the most important. What is the vary specific information they a re trying to hint at?"

Well... Now I understand what that guy was saying. I really knew more than the others. Maybe he is a guy that works in Capcom. Goodbye Jill...

        • I'm starting to believe more and more every day that Birdwoman is Jill. I don't know the how or why, but the things I've come up with just seem too conclusive to me to dismiss as a "clinging to breadcrumbs" theory like I'd thought of it at first. I don't think it's her in the tank, I could be wrong, but I just don't. I just...I don't know, I get this odd kind of sense that Birdwoman is her.

"Now that your...partner is here...I'll leave you two to catch up..."

Just how Wesker says that, and I watched an interview earlier that says Chris and Sheva are constantly together in the game, so I know Wesker wasn't directing it at Sheva. And the way in which he says it makes me think he was pointing it out to someone who's on more of a malevolent path towards Chris's goals, ie Birdwoman, than an actual...partner...As if to say "I'm going to leave you now and let you DEAL with this".

I have other conclusions to meet the end too, but none I'm going to go into great legnths to discuss at the moment.

Suggestion for Dot, have a samaritans like phone in helping all those lost souls devoid of will to live due to Jill's passing...it'll give me something to laugh at

Jill's probably alive, as the bird woman, I highly doubt that its Sherry now, that'd be a stretch in storytelling, don't get your hopes up that the tombstone is some elaborate hoax set up by the BSAA to get Wesker either, this is Capcom remember, not Kojima productions, just as I think some people are over reading into the trailer, granted its probably a mixture of flashback and present scenes, but I think you're all working yourselves into a shoot over the story.
Knowing Capcom the plot will be much simpler and rape you of your hope and expectations.

Well Jill is either dead or kidnapped (and became Birdlady). I agree. It' not a hoax by BSAA.

The tomb seems an old tomb. The video has been done at least 1 year o more after the funeral.

              • another idea is
                she could just be dead
                pure and simple xD

                • It's possible...just not likely. Who was the last popular character Capcom killed off? Ada.

Who shows up in RE4? Yeah.

Simply put, while Jill may die during the game the chances of her simply being dead are fairly slim. Even a flashback scene seems unlikely given how they've tried to avoid any character with any kind of fanbase getting killed off.

                  • Jill, Chris, Leon, Claire, Wesker, and Ada are the biggest characters in the series. Capcom can't simply "kill them off". It needs to be elaborate, drawn out, and hoaxed at first.

                      • Am I the only one that's ok with Jill's death?

Maybe they're going to explain that in a future game... or prequel.

                        Comment

                        • I'm fine with it. Although doing it with no explanation would be stupid and annoying. I just don't think Capcom have the guts to do something like have Chris go, 'My old partner got killed...by Wesker' and a flash of her tombstone followed by a flashback. They couldn't even keep Wesker dead.

                          • Yeah i don't give a shit either. Of the main characters, she's easily the most expendible.

                            • Scroll down a bit too see the translated interview from an italian gaming site
Kawata says that RE5 will definetly have more action, horror, and everything that RE4 had. Umbrella no longer exists, but there are several other organizations committing acts of bio-terrorism, and also other alliances, like the BSAA, who are trying to combat these actions. When replying to a question about Jills grave that some people made, Kawata said that they put the grave into the end of this traielr because they wanted to shake up the fans and leave them shocked.
All these elements (elements from two trailers) are very important aspects for the game. (Notice how he says her grave is important, not her death...?)

Kawata promises horror to be present, but that the horror will rely more on scaring/shocking you, and not too digusting or splater (i.e scary, not gory)

He stresses RE5 as bringing horror in the atmosphere to people' imagination , not horror as gore. The public at TGS loved the action controls

Kawata says that the RE series, including 5, has reached a conclusion, and that RE5 will therefore be a very important title.

He goes on to say, that in RE5's story, their will be unveiled an element that is going to evolve in other situations within the next chapters.
(ie. something that happense in RE5 will be setting the story for future Re's)
