Based on what we've seen so far with him teleporting and flipping off of walls now and his super powers. Do you think Capcom went a little over the edge with "Super Wesker"? He just reminds of Dante(DMC) + Dracula...(lol i spelled powerful wrong)

Its understandable from Capcom's view. They have to make him more powerful to maintain his coolness in every game. We have see him wall-run in Code: Veronica, a dash-punch in RE4, followed by the high speed teleport here. I have no idea what and how Chris and co will do to counter that, but that's the reason why I am getting excited to see how it will turn out.
Since Chris is having Sheva to assist him to fight wesker this time, I guess its only fair that wesker gets more ability to even the odds.
It'll be overdone if he got stab/shot at and didn't die again.

Well, if he is too powerful, his body will not be able to cope and he'll likely mutate (for better or worse). With what we've seen, his power level has been a natural progression of what we saw in his last canon encounter--RECV/X. He sat on his ass through out RE4 and his role in RE4's minigame is not canon; and in UC, he's super-secret-agent-guy-serious-business and aside from the last scenario, he's barely in "Super Wesker" mode.

It's hard to tell if he is teleporting per se, or just moving so fast that it seems as if he is teleporting. Though I do remember seeing little plumes of black smoke, so maybe he is teleporting? Like the little blue guy from that X-Men movie...
Like Project Omega said though, it may be a natural progression of Wesker's powers.

Sure Wesker's role in RE4 mini game isn't canon, but to me, the game character ability in the mini-game is a representative of what the character themselves are capable of. Its a personal opinion thingy, so lets not get started on this.
Perhaps he will declare himself to be a god, tries to perform another of his superhuman abilities, but ended up mutating instead just like the leeches marcus in RE0 ending.
His teleport in RE5 better be limited in some way though (for example, only work for short distance).

I personally think they crossed the line with Wesker teleporting, I mean, how do you kill something like that? If Wesker can teleport whenever he wants, Chris doesnt stand a chance against him. Judging from the recent trailers, it looks as if Chris still and probibly never will be able to defeat Wesker(hand to hand combat anyway). It just doesnt give any chance for Chris by making Wesker so over the top.Last edited by CODE_umb87; 10-11-2008, 12:18 PM.

Wesker is made up of black leaches. That's why he looks like he's teleporting. it's the leaches breaking up and re-forming him. that's all guys.....that what it is ......that's all it will be.... simple as that......thats......all....
*Cries himself into a shivering chest pain inducing coma*
Thanks Capcom
Save the franchise, Dark Biohazard will...
