Considering Spencer is not confirmed maybe the old man is Excella's father and Wesker met him at the Spencer manison. Then again why would rival companys be meeting together unless the owners were friends.

I was going to suggest this. Everyone (myself included, mind you) is assuming the old man in the chair is Spencer. It's entirely possible he's not and was just another higher up at Umbrella Wesker crossed paths with while working at the Spencer Mansion.

According to Excella's biography on the official RE5 website, the Gionne family is well known and highly respected throughout all of Europe. Her grandmother, a member of the "Travis" family, is also mentioned. There is a great deal of similarity here between Excella and Alexia Ashford. I would really be surprised, however, if the old man didn't turn out to be Spencer. I can't see why anyone, other than him, would utter the words "...all was lost with Raccoon City." A dark, Gothic castle, complete with flashes of lightning, would be an almost perfect setting for the final showdown between the last founding member of the Umbrella Corporation and his evil heir apparent. I, for one, would be incredibly disappointed if he turns out to be some cheap throw-away character.

Regardless of how things turn out, it's nice to have some things to speculate on again. Much more so than what we got with RE4 and RE:UC. At least in my opinion.

As already posted, there's are thousands of possibilities as to why companies can meet up with eachother!

I couldn't agree with you more, Stu. What's even worse is that they show him broken and defeated and lying at Wesker's feet. The character deserves a more noble end. This might be stating the obvious, but I'm quite confident that there is much more to this scene than we have been shown thus far. As long as they don't turn Ozwell E. Spencer into a blob...

Because we can see his body lying on the ground a the end of play god trailer.

Excella was there, and we know that Excella walks with the "mystery woman" ,right?

So,Wesker is probably talking to the "mystery woman"

And why is it plausible for Wesker to be talking to someone but looking at someone else...but he can't be talking to Excella because she's not looking at him?

I think that looks like Excella is introducing the "mystery woman" to Wesker
I know that REUC isn't much relative to the story,but Excella doesn't appear in Wesker's cenario xD

My point is that it seems plausible Wesker can look in the other direction of the person he's in conversation with, but Excella can't.
