Here's my opinion
The birdwoman obviously wants to keep her identity hidden, or someone(Wesker) is making her keep it hidden. The tube girl seems to be young and has blonde hair. Her face has the resemblance of Jill's, but her hair and young appearance throws us off. Back to birdwoman, unless Claire and Leon decide to stop by it would make no sense if Sherry was birdwoman since she has no reason to hide herself, unlike Jill, who is presumed to be died. I think the blonde in the red dress is the same person in the tube, I find it hard to believe there would be two completely different blondes in the game. Both Sherry and Jill could be brainwashed and with superpowers, except Jill keeps her identity hidden.

Well, it would be fitting for Sherry to appear in a game with Claire and/or Leon, but obviously any hero can rescue her.

It has been made apparent that all the main heroes and heroines all know one another or at least know of each other's activities.

Chris, being Claire's brother, will be just as knowledgeable on Sherry's situation.

Since it seems that Capcom is indeed trying to tie up many loose ends in RE5, I think Sherry's story will be resolved along with Spencer's. And we may see the final throwdown with Chris & Wesker.

As for the following:
- Jill...is she dead or alive?
- Just who is the mystery woman?
- Who is the woman in the tube?
- Who is the young blonde girl (clad in the red dress) in peril?

Right now, we are all just guessing. It is damn frustrating, but there are no clear answers to any of these questions.
