If I remember from a previous interview with Takeuchi-san, he said there will be some online components in the extra modes. To this, I believe there can be a Resident evil 3, “Mercenaries” based on the BSAA (In previous trailers, the old ones, you see the anti-bioterrorism logo in the credits line,) members during their encounter with the locals. Some reasons to support this theory is that the game has been influenced by Ridley Scott’s Black Hawk down, and I am sure Takeuchi and other members on the team were heavily enthusiastic to expand the online component in other areas, with their take on lost planet, this could be something that could bring team work and surviving the horrors around you. Just think of having a few friends with you and you get split up (the level design being based on reaching your goal into many routes of the map and having different ways to reach, whether it’s going through buildings, on ground, or perhaps underground, there is always evil that lurks around the corner) and hoping you can accomplish your mission.
