RE5: Who is Wesker Shooting At?

In the scene where Wesker is "teleporting" and getting closer to Chris as he's dodging Chris' bullets, I could have sworn he was getting off a couple of shots at something off camera. Question is at what or at who? I don't have access to the movie from this work terminal, but when i get home in a couple of hours I'll post the screen captures of what I'm talking about.

During this scene we could be "fighting" Wesker as Chris with Sheva perhaps providing sniper support in the distance? Perhaps Wesker is shooting down Sheva's bullets with his own as a show of ultimate-bad-assery?

In the first trailer where Wesker kicks Chris in the aircraft u can make out Sheva, standing almost exactly where Wesker is shooting at...

But on the other hand, he seems to pull out a different gun as he gets closer to Chris, so maybe he has stolen her gun and is just emptying her clip?
Anyone noticed Wesker has STARS written on the barrell of his gun? A nice touch...

Haha, imagine if that's how Sheva died? Wesker holding his gun sideways, teleporting, shooting her in the face while he fights Chris.

Yeah, it's his custom Samurai Edge from REmake, albeit with a massive laser sight (I'm assuming that's what that is) attached.

wesker's probably emptying the clip, leaving just one bullet at the end for chris, that makes the most sense.

Being flashy like that just because he can or for the sake of being flashy doesn't make that much sense. Why use a gun at all when he could just use his fist? Moving at the speed he does, and given that Force = Mass * Velocity, his first would be moving with incredible force if it were to connect with anything.

I think he's just firing for the hell of it. He doesnt exactly need bullets to kill a normal human after all. At the rate he moves, he could have just been shooting at Chris the entire time but waits until he's right up on him.

Perhaps other BSAA agents have arrived and Wesker makes quick work of them?

I'm fairly certain he's shooting at Sheva. He may not be trying to kill her so much as simply keep her at bay while he advances towards Chris. He's using her Beretta, but he tosses it and aims his own Samurai Edge at Chris' head.
