Yea I don't think that Resident Evil 5 will be the last game, because there's just too much money to be made off the name(just look at the movies). I'm just saying that a part of me wishes that it would be the end before the storyline gets too out of hand and the franchise is no longer the series we all fell in love with. I just can't imagine loving resident evil games without wesker, chris, zombies, etc. Perhaps they will bring back zombies, and I think they will, but without our favorite long-time zombie killers, it wouldn't be nearly as fun. Just look at dead aim lol, god forbid we have to play as him or ark thompson"One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate... and thus defy the tyrannous stars."

wow i think thats the first postitive thinking ive heard about the games for a while, ive said it before but the games needed something, new i never said why but hes just stated what ive been thinking, the old RE games where old and if they had kept using those old game play camera angles and not enough action it was gunna die out completly, thats my opinionOriginally posted by ChrisRedfield29 View PostI kind of feel the same way you do, but at the same time, I embrace the new control control scheme and new camera angles. There might be too much action and not enough horror or puzzles and stuff of the like, and that's what I don't like, but as far as everything else goes, I welcome it.
Let's face it, the old RE controls were archaic. Same thing with Metal Gear Solid. The controls and camera angles were updated for MGS4(yes, to appeal to a broader audience), but it also made the gameplay more enjoyable as a whole.
After playing RE4, I think I'm happy that the old 'tank' controls are out the door...although I do enjoy the nostalgia from time to time.

Of course I love Resident Evil just as much as the next obsessed fan, but a part of me does hope this is the end. Look at Metal Gear Solid,(which the next gen RE games have become very similiar to) a really great game that ended on a high note. Just like seinfield, Hideo Kojima knew when it was time to call it quits and he did it the right way by answering every question that the fans craved in an epic last installment. Hopefully Shinji Mikami will do the same when the time comes, which could be soon. Sure, a crappy Hollywood movie is in the works for MGS which will no doubt shame the franchise like every other video game movie...but at least the video game series will be over so that the movies won't have a negative impact on them( *ahem* Silent Hill).Last edited by REmaster; 11-05-2008, 01:17 AM."One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate... and thus defy the tyrannous stars."

we know it's not the end, there's simply too much money to be made(just look at all the movies they keep spitting out). It's just that some of us hope that it would end, before the story/gameplay strays to far from original games we love."One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate... and thus defy the tyrannous stars."
