  • Torpedo Kids

Torpedo Kids (TK) are the sperm looking deformities that are spit out of the turkey looking creature at the other end. They swim out on the water roughly at about 7 MPH (~11.3 km/h) to try and take a bite out of you. I would like some input on what the host organism for this is since it looks like nothing we've seen before.

To me, the "mother" looks like over radiated turkey, but besides the superficial apperance, they spew TK's at a rate of about 1 every 5 seconds (it looks like that from what I recall in the game, I haven't played it in months (can't find any of my saves near that point and haven't had any time to replay it again).

Since they are able to constantly generate TK's they essentially function as a immobile G-Imago. They are similar in that they can constantly generate what appears to be larval stages of themselves, which biologically doesn't occur unless there is a large source of nutrients to be able to replinish the cells generated to create the larva.

    Regardless, WTF is it.

Omega, u know ive been tryin 2 get all the details regarding original organisms, and indeed you've helped us on project: Umbrella out as well.

Torpedo Kids and Nautilus are so fucked up, god knows what it is?!! He's my introduction to the Nautilus and Torpedo Kid article:

needless to say i left it fairly ambiguious. The observation that the topedo kids are sperm like links with my assexually comment, and indeed i believe that is the function combined with a line of defence of the Torpedo Kids.

a comparison to a G embryeo is very interesting however, and some i will look into a bit more...

I don't even know whether to start looking at humans or animals, to be quite honest.

              Picture no.17 is hilarious
Sperm monster vs Magnum bullet. Kinda overkill don't you think?

I replayed Dead Aim just recently. The 'sperm' is easy to just run around and the fat 'Turkey'/slug/blob thing dosn't even move. I shot it a couple of times at close range and it just sinks into the water. Is that its death animation?

I'm guessing its some sort of amphibious mutation or something like a jellyfish. Some of those creatures can change sex or even reproduce by themselves.

The torpedo kids were babies spawned from a larger creature in Resident evil: Dead Aim. Annoying little buggers.

That's one of the worst monsters in the whole series......
It really isn't dangerous, you can just run past it, and I agree about it looking like a turkey....
When the kids are coming out of it, it can look like a turtle, but I would go with the Nautilos being some form or G-Imago....

Very interesting point. I'll have to look further into that

Torpedo Kids. Probably the worst name for an enemy in RE history.

I think I've found the original creature for this monster. I'm going with the Sea Squirt, or rather the Ascidaceans.

[These] sac-like marine filter feeders. Ascidians are characterized by a tough outer "tunic" made of the polysaccharide tunicin, as compared to other tunicates which are much less robust. They are found all over the world, usually in shallow water with salinities over 2.5%. While members of the Thaliacea and Larvacea swim freely like plankton, sea squirts are sessile animals: they remain firmly attached to substratum such as rocks and shells. There are 2,300 species of ascidians and three main types: solitary ascidians, social ascidians that form clumped communities by attaching at their bases, and compound ascidians that consist of many small individuals (each individual is called a zooid) forming colonies up to several meters in diameter. Sea squirts feed by taking in water through the oral siphon. The water enters the mouth and pharynx, flows through mucus-covered gill slits (also called pharyngeal stigmata) into a water chamber called the atrium, then exits through the atrial siphon.

Omega, i think you've done it again mate! a very logical assumption, and unless something else crops up, i'll update the article on Project Umbrella.

                          kudos all round!

I really should play Dead Aim one of these days. It looks like I missed out on fantastic opportunities to bring up topics like this as a result
