Out of four, Resident Evil 1. My memories of my first plays of the other three are quite hazy, but Resi 1 will always stick with me.
CV is kind of in limbo. I mean, I don't prersonally consider Dreamcast to be a generation above PS1 and N64. It was obviously technically superior. But it was still a part of that generation.

CV is kind of stuck in limbo between Generations, I think. It's not quite PS2 quality, but it really surpasses PS1 quality. But I mean, if you compare CVX to REmake, does it not seem like Remake is a generation above CVX? I'd say so.

        The last 3 Gaming 'Generations':
        1. PS1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast
        2. PS2, GameCube, Xbox
        3. PS3, Wii, 360

Am I missing any systems? Besides handhelds...

          Sega Saturn?

^ Yeah, I guess...but if Saturn belongs to 1, where does the DreamCast(which I also forgot) belong to?

Well, I guess Sega would've technically released two consoles for that generation, one the weakest and one the strongest...

Fixed for you. The system abilities for the Sega consoles match those in the areas provided generation-wise. The Dreamcast was the first of the last generation, much like the X360 was this generation - getting a long lead opening on jumpstarting the generation.

For me all 4 games are classics, my personal favourite is CV for the same reasons that Beasley pointed out.

I mean, I guess as far as capabilities are concerned, but the Dreamcast always slips my mind...I feel like the PS2 and Xbox were that much further ahead than the Dreamcast. Then again, I never owned a Dreamcast, so I probably don't appreciate it. My cousins had one and I would play House of The Dead, NFL 2K1, World Series Baseball 2K1, etc, but it was so short-lived and the PS2 was such a powerhouse that I tend to overlook it.

The Dreamcast came out in Japan in 1998, North America in 1999, so it was quite a bit of time before the PS2. Back then the PS1 and the N64 were still hot stuff. The PS2 wasn't even anticipated yet. So I dunno, I think I'd say that the Dreamcast falls into the PS1 generation. It was far more advanced, but based purely on time frame, it's from the 32 bit generation.

Once the PS2 came out, people stopped caring about the Dreamcast, so it was left in the previous generation pretty much.

Technically speaking, though, I'd put it in the transition between generations. It's far superior to PS1 but far inferior to PS2.

It's kinda like... Sega 32X, I guess, which felt like a transitional console between the 16 bit era and the 32 bit era.

I'm sure if Sega continued to make consoles after Dreamcast, they would've once again made a transitional one.
