Well, that's debatable. Like I said, it's not like Capcom is gonna go and involve those events with anything in the future. But they don't contradict anything either, so why not consider them canon? Including 4D Executer.

And since it seems that 4D executer isnt canon, I wont even bother looking at it. I simpy wanted to know because I never heard of it and was going to take a look at it. Now if we find out later that it is, then I will seek out this 4D executer!
They are really more like published Fan-Fiction.

Yeah, that was great. I was surprised the book came out like two months before the movie. I read it right away though. So in a way, it almost felt like the movie was actually based on the book, since I read the book first.
But the point is, I don't exclude myself from RE stuff that's made by people other than Capcom. I even read through those old comics that were released after RE2, the ones where Jill was undercover at the university, and the one where Leon was attacked by those vampire creatures. Heheheh, silly comic writers.
4D Executer was made by Capcom though.

About the latest translation, some may find similarities to the old translations, which is because the entire script was not retranslated. The old translations we had were passed through our translator for approval and editing and then we did a minor touch up to the style of the text itself before hitting start on the encoding.
If we manage locate a better source for the movie, we might do a full retranslation and rewrite + consider doing another feature related to 4D.
[edit]
Come to think of it... There should be an canon "recognition" system, ala. the Star Wars system, or evt. in the way they do the charts on sites such as AniDB.Last edited by Carnivol; 11-04-2008, 05:35 AM.

I dont see how anybody can legitimatly say that Dead Aim isnt canon.
at what point would you say it isnt and why does it differentiate from any other capcom developed resident evil game?
regarding 4D executor, can it be distinguished from Degeneration in any way?
both are CGI film, both are developed and made by capcom, but for sum reason its considered non canon by many. I cant see why this is the case.
Ha! thinking about it, its the story line. If the story or creatures dont fit with what people know, the instant reaction is to disregard it. This happens in both dead aim and 4D exectutor. It all makes sense why their is such a backlash.
Uh Oh, female tyrant, electrical properties, dont like that, NON CANON, yes thats fine it all fits now.
Uh oh!, T-virus genetics, ability to retain human thoughts, dont like that NON CANON.
phew!
thats an easy way out instead of trying to understand the storyline and complexities of the source materials.
for instance did you know the TG Virus and the T-Virus samples were stolen from the 6the Laboratory in the Paris Lab? The very lab where Nemesis was created? A little tidbit there.Last edited by Neptune; 11-04-2008, 08:42 AM.
