Not true. There was plenty of press coverage before the game was remade. Hell, most of the pics and videos of 1.5 are press material.
And while I agree that the game was (or at least seemed) less refined than the final product, it would still be interesting to play the version Capcom originally intended to release
Personally, I cannot see most RE fans "not giving a damn" should this be made available one day.

It's really good how they've made that gameboy game. I wish i knew what Script was used to resize the characters as they moved through the different areas.

I know this a bit off the topic( yea I would also love to play 1.5 ), but does anyone know of a mailing address to the resident evil development team or a specific chapter of capcom? I mean I don't expect to be able to write a letter directly to shinji mikami but at least to someone had something to do with the creation of the games. Blah, I'm probably just wasting my time but i'd like to give it a try. Maybe after 60 letters I might get a response.

The problem with releasing this game is that someone would have to finish making the game. I can't see capcom spending any money to do this.

I'd settle with the 80% of what they had, just to try it. I wouldn't be expecting a full polished game. Heck, I wouldn't want them to finish it. I want to play what they had in its unaltered form.
