Well i can see what the reviewers meant when they said it felt like watching a CG movie in one of the games, and waiting to take control of the player. Quality of the CG is pretty sub-par for a movie, and the movie itself looks like it's gonna be a pretty sub-par too.

The mythos is inconsistent with the rest of the series.
The cop who got eaten turned into a zombie too quickly. I'm comparing this to Edward in RE0, who obviously didn't turn right after dying. He didn't turn for a while.
Aside from that, Claire looks ugly. That Ron Davis guy is written pretty badly. I mean, how much more of a cliche' evil corporate boss can you be?
I bet one of two things is gonna happen: He either gets eaten by zombies, or he turns all good by the end of it and learns his lesson.

Originally posted by Prime BlueIt's not inconsistent. In 2003, the t-Virus development had reached a stage in which people are almost instantly turned into zombies upon infection. The Russian scenario in UC confirms that.
And no, it really, really doesn't look better or more interesting than the live action RE movies.

Ugh. The mis-information and sheer unwarranted criticism in this topic is UGGGGGHHHHHH.
Firstly, the time between turning into a zombie differs from person to person and method of infection. Some will turn within minutes, for others it will take hours, days or even weeks.
Finally, there is too much hate for this movie. Do you people really expect it to be some brilliant looking Pixar movie? You do realize that this is Capcom, a video game development team making the movie, right? On top of that, it's their first full length CGI production ever and doesn't run on the budget of say, any other animated film.
And Senator Ron Davis is awesome. I already love his character. He pretty much destroys every other attempt I've ever seen at creating the upper class arrogant bastard character. One line was iffy but it's down to a meh script, something which Capcom isn't known for.
The zombies also look amazing. And we finally get to see them "fresh" and barely decayed, which makes it even more awesome.
Oh, and that "not paying" comment? Gtfo.

I could say there's too much hate for the live action movies.
I wasn't expecting pixar animation, but if they're gonna make something non-interactive, they could at least write it well. But Capcom isn't capable of good writing. And the more storyline they do create, the more it's evident. Maybe RE1, 2 and 3 weren't the best written games in the world, but the plot wasn't over-saturated either. With the amount of dialogue they're including now, and especially in a feature length film, it's pretty clear that Capcom... Well, at least the Resident Evil team should either just stick to game design, or take some creative writing lessons. Like Storytelling 101, so they can at least learn the basics.
