  • Do you think RE series are already DEAD?

Do you think your favorite saga is already dead? Which RE game made you think that? How do you think it should've been?

Woah! What do we have here?

Keep this civil, as Dot always suggests!

P.S I know Leon's tomb looks cheap, he didn't have nuff money :S

Why bother asking this question. It's just going to turn into another Resident Evil 4 War.

No, I do really don't want that to happen. Just felt curious about how we feel with RE at the moment.

I said we should keep this civil.

If this gets into a non-sense war, I would like to get this thread closed.

        Don't it always.
To Answer your Topic question. I think the series is doing great!
Ada's Report, Jill's Death and Spencer showing up just added a lot more interest and excitement to the series. Along wih the new gameplay and stuff. So I feel Like the series is reaching its orgasmic climax.

I think to some people, the series is considered dead. But for others like myself, have accepted the changes made by RE4 and still consider the series very much alive. We all have our different opinions. In my opinion, just because RE4 had a horrible storyline, doesnt mean the series cant be revived by 5. And as for the horror/survival, I never really cared for that, it was only an element to the series. So I can handle the series no longer having that, just as long as they get the story back on track, and RE5 looks promising to that.

I want opinions on the pic I made too xD

Yeah I know, that's why I made this topic. We can say without arguing what we think.
I'm saving my answer for later.

The pic is very nice. Jill looks horrible and dead as usual.
Was there a reason for killing Chris's other partner? Poor Becky.
And why are you saving your answer for later? Do you wan't to see other opinions before your final thought?

Jill is sad for Mikami's death, he was her biggest fan.

Personally, I think the series is far from dead. It seems to be returning to its roots, storywise, with what I've seen in the trailers for RE5. As much as I hate RE4, I think the new gameplay mechanic is a step in the right direction. By RECV and RE0, even the static camera angles and tank-like controls had begun to wear on me. RE4 is a step in the right direction, as long as they continue to tweak it...perhaps by bringing horror back to the forefront and reducing the feel of "just another shooter."

As long as the storyline gets stronger, and horror does return to RE, the series will continue to have a great shelf life.

As for comments on your pic: it looks great. You appear to have quite the talent with whatever photo-editor you use. Jill's running eyeliner though reminds me of when football players have eye black under their eyes, and it is trailing down their face due to sweat. As for Leon's tombstone...that is the highlight. I'd love to drop a deuce on his grave.

It's edited with photoshop, so she might look ugly but she's actually sad
I'm saving my answer because I have already given my thoughts about it on another thread. So...

                      May God be with Becky

Haha, thankies. Well, It might look a little bit weird. To be honest I didn't put enough time into it. It could have been a lot better you know.
You can see that Leon's tomb is rather different from the others, because that was the last one I made. So looks quite different from the others.
I still like Jill's expression on her face...

As far as I know, a game called Resident Evil 5 is due to be released on Friday the 13th of March, 2009.

                            That's my answer.

RE C:V was the end of Resident Evil for me.

To say RE4 was the end might be stretching it, because the games after CV were a lot more action oriented.
