  • Are you being serious when you type this drivel? Your arguments are very weak.

    Nope, they really don't.

Next, you're going to tell me that it was canon for Ashley to wear a suit of armor in RE4, or even a Britney Spears latex jumpsuit. Or that Leon actually battled infected Spaniards in a mafia suit with a mobster-era tommy gun.

Think before you type. It's not that difficult to grasp.

well "trailer Chris" has stolen Jill's personality then.
No. He hasn't. And to be honest, I am really not following this idea of yours...that Chris's limited dialogue in the RE5 trailers mean he has stolen Jill's personality. Or do you just mean that, since Chris is finally starring in his own game, that he is speaking more?

yes, but Spencer is the main villain of the series, he planned it all from the beginning, Wesker may have taken him down, but Spencer was there before Wesker.
But Spencer has been a character never before seen, who has never physically tried to harm the characters. He's funded everything, and prompted the research and experimentation, but he's never himself done anything. At all. He is a man of inaction.

Wesker, on the other hand, used Marcus's attack as a tool, just as he used Spencer's established hierarchy, and Birkin's genius. Wesker has used people to get what he wanted. He has been essential to the series. He injected himself with the virus that resurrected him, he watched over RC as it was overrun, he provided Ada the means to escape, he has collected viral samples, he traveled to Rockfort & Antarctica, he gained possession of the UMF-013 "Red Queen," he monitored things in Spain to get "Las Plagas," and he ultimately resurrected Umbrella's M.O. in his own image. And he continues his personal evil plan in RE5.

yes im sure he went to the gym and doesn't even know what roids are, they didn't have to make him a Duke Nuken clone, and he is still gonna get his ass kicked by Wesker in RE5 now that Wesker can teleport.

no i never felt scared in RE4 except, well nothing compared to the classics anyway, but still, if RE5 manages to be less scary that RE4, it's becaue Chris is a roid monster.
Whatever. More mindless Chris bashing. It's your opinion. Just like in my opinion Leon sucks. We're all entitled to our own opinions.

However, my arguments are logical and coherent for my vantage point...whereas yours...are...yours. Yeah, just yours.

no i don't think RE4's suits are canon, or any other costumes, but i think the Remake ones are, because Jill was in Delta force, so that would have been her uniform, she probably didn't have it in the mansion, but she probably had it in her apartment somewhere with her RE3 outfit.

no i think Chris has been given the same type of personality that jill has, why didn't capcom make a new one for him, i think your liking of Chris is blinding you a little bit, i can plainly see a bit of Jill in Chris's personality in the trailer.

like i said before, Wesker is the VISIBLE villain of the series, the one you always see, but Spencer is the one back in the shadows who you never see, but he is there, orchestrating things, they are both main villains but Spencer was the more powerful one until recently.

              • Well, I suppose we could limit our posts to a hundred words...but we won't because I personally like to discuss stuff with people, and sometimes those posts can be a few hundred, maybe even a thousand words long.

                Shock.

                Horror.

                  • Woah, nice debating up there guys, I always liked JB's arguments so I'm going to quote something he said which is really true.

Chris & Jill are pretty similar. And - for crying out loud - Jill spent RE1 interacting with Barry a lot more than Chris spent with Rebecca, so obviously Jill had more dialogue there. Then, Jill got HER OWN GAME in RE3, so we were able to really see her character fleshed out and she has more dialogue (of course). Chris's next appearance was in RECV, where he only got 50% of the game to do anything, and he was mostly solo with not much time or people to even talk to.

                    • yeah Jill's boob is a good debater, he keeps the personel insults to a minimum (kind of) and fights with facts, i love to debate with people like that, it's a lot better than fighting with people like elusion (if you guys have ever heard of him) who will just run away if you try to fight.

                      • I wouldn't say "fight" that would be rude for social people. I think it's more like exchange of opinions.

                        • fight, debate, excange of social opinions = same thing.

but i enjoy all three, it's why i come to message boards, well that and making joke topics.

                          • I like to fight and argue too much. It's a flaw I try to correct by being polite and receptive to other people's opinions.
Like me and Boob. We disagree on almost everything RErelated but we've talked a bit in PMs and he's a very smart fellow. I respect his views.

Whereas RE3 was like the Full Metal Jacket of Resident Evil, it had a very military feel to it, and I loved that.
Full Metal Jacket is a masterpiece. RE 3 was a great game, but its plot was no where near such a great film, IMO.

I mean, it had the same vibe to it. A very military feel. But not military in that "I'm a soldier who's gonna receive an award" sort of way, rather in that, "I'm a soldier in the field, and I'm probably gonna die" sort of way.
