  • What Is Love?

(Baby don't hurt me...don't hurt me, no more.)

Anyway there are many real and would-be real couples in the RE series. The happy family of William and Anette are a good example of a real couple.

But what most fans prefer to think and theorize and write fanfics about are the would-be/should-be/could-be couples. The most prominent are of course Leon/Ada and Chris/Jill. There are obvious suggestions towards the former but as far as I know, nothing at all hinting towards the latter.

One couple I always fancied was Rabecca and Billy... I dunno. I just thought they looked cute together and the RE0 ending was my favorite RE ending.

But what about you? Do you support any fan couples?

Well, as twisted as it might be, I'm pretty sure Alfred loved Alexia. And I mean, loved loved. I mean, incest wasn't uncommon in royalty and such. And Alfred pretty much acts like he's a prince in a kingdom that time forgot.

Nothing wrong with that. It's just...both of them are ugly so who wants to think about it.

Erm... Don't know what state you're from, but not only is incest generally not publicly accepted, it's not very healthy either. Deformed babies much?

All that aside, I thought Alexia was beautiful, even in her first mutant stage. After that, she looked like an angry vegable.

You really want to know what love is?

Well, it's really quite simple...it's...kinda like..."Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight, gonna grab some afternoon delight. My motto's always been 'when it's right, it's right,' why wait until the middle of a cold dark night?"

That's usually the result of prolonged inbreeding from what I've heard.

Besides, some incest can be touching and make for a good story. The most famous account of incest in fiction for instance, Oedipus, comes to mind.

Anyway, for my fave couple, a great BillyxRabecca vid.

Well, sure in old Greek, Roman, and basically any B.C.E. culture there's plenty of incest stories, and they're often widely known and accepted, because that's how it was back then.
But by today's standards, portraying incest as sweet and endearing is wrong. There is such thing as being TOO open minded.
The only 'good story' of the sort that I could think of is Old Boy, and it doesn't portray incest as sweet at all.

I started feeling ill when I realized the woman who he'd A) Tried to rape and B) had sex with was his daughter in Old Boy. Never watched it again, oddly.

I personally don't like most of the couples in RE, as they seem forced. I mean, how many minutes are Leon and Ada in each others presence before she kisses him? Maybe twenty?

Alexia and Alfred never committed incest. He loved her in a platonic way. Do you have any evidence to prove they were nobbing eachother? They are brother and sister, of course they love eachother. I don't know where this whole "incest" rubbish comes from. Considering he doesn't even deem himself worthy to go near her, do you really think he'd be comfortable in getting intimate with her? He nor her would deem anyone worthy of doing that. Besides, Alexia was a psychopath, and she went into her cryostasis at a very young age. People don't have sex when they're ten years old.

Oddly enough a friend of mine is selling a framed picture of Jill and Claire being close in his shop. £25.

I want the one of Jill being stalked by a Crismson Head. Damned creepy thing.
