  • Exactly, How Good Is HUNK?

Has anybody ever thought enough about the character as to what units he has been in through his whole career? He's supposed to be the best of the best [or something along those lines] but what is the best of the best, going by military terms?

Is it possible Hunk has been a Navy Seal, a Royal Commando, ect?

It's possible Hunk recieved training from an elite force, such as the S.A.S or something equally unpleasant. More likely, I think, given we know he was trained at Rockford Island is that he and the others are trained by retired instructors and retired special ops guys who Umbrella have given an easy retirement to. It's not uncommon for special forces guys who retire to become mercernaries and trainers and such. Umbrella could buy them up by the fistfull to train there own forces.

As far as I'm concerned, the less is known about him the better. Mystery makes that character, and I think the fact that we actually saw his face was enough. Beyond that, all we need to know is who he's working for. Not his background story, or family history, or that he likes taking long walks on the beach and read European poetry by the fireplace, or whatnot. The less we know about his pre-Umbrella past, the better.

^ Way to take things out of context, lol.

I suppose what I'm really asking, is in the real world, would Hunk be *considered* somebody as high-up as an S.A.S. or Navy Seal member? Soldier-wise, Capcom always state how brilliant he is and everything.

True. It's fun to talk about such things though. We can at least make guesses, even if we never actually.

Towards the end of Batman Begins, when Batman takes on those soldier-esque Ninja, I think I'd see Hunk as someone similar to them, minus the sword: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=jgMLC53DTrQ : And he probably wouldn't go down as fast.

Of course he would be considered one of the best. He obtained the G-Virus for Umbrella. I doubt they would have just said "huh, thanx" and then waved him off. He's probably one of the upper-levels.

He's earned the nickname 'Mr. Death', because he always seems to evade death and survive.
He must have seen combat a few times, and somehow survives against the odds.

However, that doesn't imply that he actually accomplished his missions... The attack on Birkin's lab was a massive cock-up.

No one knows how good he is, except that he successfully retrieved the G-virus from Raccoon city (after some unfortunate events), and that he thinks that he's above transporting tyrants.

                      Define upper-level.

Actually...we have no hint Hunk is affiliated with Wesker at all. His alliegence was pretty clearly to Umbrella, and he may or may not have been mercernary enough to go over to Wesker.

well from his note in CVX, it seemed like he had a bit of power, id say maybe he is the head of the U.S.F.U or something.
