It is a known fact that the S.A.S. are the best soldiers in the world, they are the ones on call of duty 4, watched this documentary on them other day an they are intense only the best of the best of the best get in, you have to be a verteran solider say 10 years experience befoe you can join and also you dont choose to join you are picked only a select few make it so I guess Hunk would fit into this group. Serious bad ass soldiers. It's also a fact that the navy seals throw the rope out of the helicopter and then sail down but the S.A.S. jump out with the rope lol, they already have 5 men on the ground by the time the seals have 1.

If a character like HUNK remains a mystery, then the speculations will never end, and that is awesome.

I think he's obviously a well rounded soldier...and UC showed he's not just a killing machine. He left someone behind to fend for themselves, but at the same time he acknowledged that the others were valuable.
I like HUNK being a mystery. If we were to suddenly have his entire history shown to us, I doubt he'd appeal to people the way he does. In a way, he's a faceless, generic character that still wins people over.sigpic
Are you tired, Rebecca?

SAS =/= the best
Its not just the training that would make a man into HUNK. Remember, he was just an SQL of his own team. They were probably all subject to similar training. This may not come off as much of a credible comparison, but Ive been playing paintball and airsoft for 6 years total now. And Ive seen some incredibly talented people, with no military training whatsoever, pull off amazing games. Consistently. It just shows that there are people who are just so much better at what they do, the way they think and live, than the rest of us. I have absolutely no problems with believing that HUNK can be a character which represents that sort of person.
In 2nd World War, there was this US soldier who mopped up an entire village (30+ German soldiers) ALONE, with a trenchgun (shotgun). That is some incredible set of skills, battlesense, cojones and brains.

And it's pretty hilarious that the Norwegian Special forces in the navy (The "marine hunters", or whatever you wanna translate it as) are considered pretty high up there with them too.
When I saw the thread title, I was something like Tim Roth (as Emil Blonsky) in The Incredible Hulk. There his backstory is set as a British Special Soldiers (don't remember if they say specifically that he's of SAS or SBS background)
So toss in the super soldier serum and you've got the experience of an aging man in the body of someone young. I guess Hunk must be something like that. (Let's be total fan-fiction fanboys and hope Hunk will appear in something like a new Marvel vs Capcom and "reveal a piece of himself" )
