Really now. I was giving a way a hint that the cybercontest of "bestest special forces in the world" can be seen everywhere. It boils down to anyones ability to debate and turn the argument around. Its even worse when it comes to armies. Some say the training level of American soldiers is pisspoor, others bring forth arguments to prove otherwise.

I spent yesterday 1.5 hours reading about Australias next procurement of fighter jets (hey, it was either that or actually working) and people were using rather convincing arguments against the F22, claiming that Russkies new MiG35 is a better bet.

Well, you don't want to oversaturate the game with him. That he only appears briefly and they tease us with that makes him that much more awesome.
I mean Wesker was awesome. Then they oversaturated him with Umbrella Chronicles, and look what happened. He was a total idiot in that game. Had no appeal whatsoever in UC.

They just killed that mystery about him. Too much of a good thing renders that thing not so good anymore. Of course the dialogue and voice overs in that game didn't help Wesker one bit. Which makes me think HUNK should have minimal dialogue too.

HUNK and Spencer are the last great enigmas in Resi, and whilst im pleased Spencer is in RE5 theres part of me that feels capcom will fuck him up. Heres hoping they dont.

HUNK is no doubt unemployed now lol He has either remained loyal to Spencer throughout or joined another paramilitary organisation.

According to Archives, HUNK procured the G -Virus not from catching the viral Leon threw over, but from batteling Birkin head on, and taking a sample off him directly.
Thats courageous if true...

Steering off course for a second. Having spent some time roaming forums and debates, I have a newfound respect for Spetsnaz. Not because they can kill you with a knife in midair while performing a sommersault, but because of a different view on the so called "Nord Ost and Beslam" failures.

The comparison to SAS CT success compared to Spetsnaz Nord Ost "major failure" comes to a grinding halt and a complete reverese after a few very interesting aspects which are forgotten and/or never known about.

But this doesnt mean that the point doesnt stand. Its almost impossible to determine "the best special operations force in the world".

wen weskers report II indicates he wanted an outbreak, and wen spencer rescues Sergei aside from the shocking choice of VA he seems quite smug about the situation.

I'd suggest that Nicholai was Spetsnaz trained, and HUNK may be SAS trained. Both of them are hardasses in their own right, and not the kind of people you would want to fuck with. Except that Nicholai is a lot more ruthless.
