  • You don't have a leg to stand on if you think that Jill is more important than Chris. The struggle seemed to revolve around Chris/Jill/Wesker but was more focused on Chris. Jill just happened to be his partner/friend/girlfriend so she was in the picture as well. Its not saying she isn't important, but she isn't the main focus...aside from one game.

    • The thing is, in Resident Evil 5, it does revolve around Chris. You could easily replace Jill with Claire and the game would be the same.

Well, I think it'd be a little more interesting in the whole Two On Two fight.

      • replace everytime someone says partner with brother/sister and you're done.

          .
I don't think it's that simple. First, Claire is not anyone, she's Chris sister, so you would be changing a major characters of another major character. But you would have to rethink a lot of things, like, what the hell would be Claire doing with Chris after Spencer? Would she have the chance to sacrifice herself for Chris, or even more, would she be willing to do that? What Wesker would do with her? And so on, I could keep going...
          .
I'm not trying to say that Jill is a main characters in RE5, because she's not, but her importance is huge. For exemple, she was the only reason why Chris kept going...
          .
One thing that isn't a big deal but I think it's worth mentioning is that she's the very first character that appears in the game...

The fallacy with that is that Chris doesn't exactly show much of a train of logic. Jill tackles Wesker out a window. Her body is never found and she's presumed dead. Fair enough...no normal human would be able to survive that. Jill does (which is retarded on its own) and Wesker decides to experiment on her blah blah blah. However...Chris then suspects that Jill is alive, and yet he's so staggered to see Wesker alive again as well. Why would he never string two and two together and think...well if Jill's alive, somehow Wesker would be too! I mean come on....Chris dropped a ton of steel beams on the man's head, and Wesker shook it off like it was nothing.

I don't think Chris's anti-terrorist drive is because of Jill, but rather hers is because of his. True, because he thought she was dead he did push himself more, but the entire series was Chris leading the way with Jill following. Chris did the investigation of Umbrella (even without Jill as quoted from her diary), Chris went to Europe first to go after Umbrella HQ while Jill stayed behind to do a bit more research on Umbrella in Raccoon. Jill regroups with Chris. Jill follows Chris to Russia. Because of Chris, Jill joins the BSAA.

Me thinks that she landed on top of Wesker. Maybe Wesker even had the plan to control her and such before they even hit the ground.

Even falling on top of him would have killed her.

Well, I'm sure that if Wesker wanted to save her, he would have found a way. Even falling hundreds of feet to the ground. Or water. Or whatever was under them.

I guess you got me wrong, when I said that, I was saying just about RE5... and Chris himself says that.
                      .
Now, I agree 100% with you that Chris is fighting agains Umbrella/Bioterrorism beucase of his own will, and I also agree when you say Chris is more of a leader of the duo. However, I don't agree when you say that Jill is just fighting because of Chris, they both fight because they think it's the right thing to do. And this is why Jill stays in Raccoon, because she has her own will too. I mean, Jill is not fallowing Chris, they are going together, simply because they both share the same ideas and have the same goals, and of course, they care for each other a lot. And it's not because of Chris that Jill join the BSAA, as I said, they both join together, both are part of the Original Eleven.

I always thought that the estate was by the sea-side and the sheer cliff drop had water at the bottom ..

Even still, at the kind of height we're led to believe they fell from, it would've been pretty tough to survive, water or no water.

Why do you think jumping off a bridge kills you? It's because hitting the surface of the water is practically the same as hitting concrete. Anyone that has ever took a bad dive off a high dive at a pool knows how badly it hurts.

Try belly-flopping off of a high dive...with testicles:

They probably landed in a perfect swan dive position or wesker blocked most of the fall with his invincibility. He was in the front afterall.
