Ah, my bad. It's difficult to tell between all the Jill-related posts. I have to admit, I like Chris a lot more than Leon. I always viewed him as the original protagonist of RE. Though I liked Leon in RE2, the direction his character took following Raccoon City really put me off. As it did for everyone else. Dare I say it, he was actually better in RE4 than he was in Degeneration.

Chris was one of my first 'gaming heroes' if I can call him that. I played RE1 with my uncle when I was 7 or 8 years old, and my uncle would always pick Jill just to see Barry blow off the zombie's head in the dining room right at the beginning of the game...but I wasn't impressed. Chris was the man, so I always played as him. He wore green which was my favorite color, and he was a cool dude.

You know, I wonder if RE5 had starred someone else, and we saw a headstone with the name CHRIS REDFIELD sprawled across it, if there would've been a 'Central "Chris Redfield" Discussion Topic,' LET ALONE would it be 26 pages long! This topic really makes me wonder, and I think it's a valid question.

Anyone get where I'm comin' from?

There most likely would of been mate, Chris is my favourite character aswell.

I'm not going to knock people talking about Jill Valentine in a topic called The central "Jill Valentine" Topic, that's mainly because this topic is for just that "speculation and idea's".

I do get where you are coming from though, but surely you must see this is where all the talk about her goes as it is a dedicated topic, would you go on the news report topic and post things about Barry (old news), i surely hope not because it is off topic as it is a "news topic" and dedicated to news as this topic is to Jill.

So i guess i do agree with both sides, but considering this being a dedicated topic i can't argue and i Definitely cannot knock people for "Jill" related posts in the Jill topic.

I tend to figure that if ANY of the main protagonists names had of appeared on that headstone, such a topic like this one would have been created. At the end if the day, the trailer suggests that a main character from the series (whether she's your favourite, least favourite etc) is dead!! For fans of the series, this is huge and I think warrants discussion.

Fair enough. I don't understand some of it either. On the other hand I don't understand people who only wear black, but I respect the choice they've made. I can still be polite though.

This topic getting pretty hostile first of Mr Spencer it is possible to be a fan of a franchise and have a favorite character. If Jill wasnt in Re from the start I would still be into the franchise, I may leave the franchise soon but thats because of the over all changes not just Jill. To be honest the biggest reason for my loss of interest is the switch over from horror to action and the gameplay. I loved the puzzle exploring tank controls and id take Remake over Re4 and 5 anyday. I was actually laughing with you not at you so chill.

No I must admit it's not over nice to see people come down on someone because of their like to a character. Not that the series would be over for me should a single character die but I wouldn't over like it too much if something bad happened to Chris, though by looking at the viral videos which are allegedly canon then hey.

Certain characters often make a franchise, what would the Alien or Aliens be without Ripley, or Metroid with Samus.etc I could go on. Certain characters establish franchises and without those characters the titles cease to become what they previously were. I can get behind what people think about Jill, but no-one should be described as 'not a fan' because they like only one character. It's not like people have been overly juvinile here.

and i don't just like Jill, i like Rebecca, Claire and Barry to, but Barry and Rebecca are non existent, Claire is in a side roll and Jill is possibly dead now.

im a Resident Evil fan, and a Jill fan, but to me RE died back in 2004, so my Jill fandom comes first.

I agree with that, and it absolutely makes sense.

I think that we've deviated away from actually discussing other aspects of Jill, not weather she'll be around for the next RE or not.
