Take everything Mr Spencer says from the sillyest possible pespective and you usuall get the right idea. When he's being serious he writes really, really long posts. Which are still silly, they're just accurate.

On a site note...there are no flame wars here, as the mods hunt down flamers with high powered weaponry while placing bets on how long they'll survive. The answer is usually not very long, alas. You can disagree with folk but you need to be polite while doing it as things like, 'You're a fucking moron for thinking that, fucktard' tend to get you ass kicked by, well, me.

Jill is by far my favorite female character with Claire coming in at second. I too really hope she doesn't die in the game because my heart will break. Though if that does have to happen, I hope it's not something silly where she sacrifices her life to defeat Wesker (and herself possibly) and save Chris from an impending doom. That would be really cliched and terrible of Capcom. Let's hope for the best though.

As for the male characters, well, I prefer the villians, lol. I like Chris, but guys like Wesker are just far more interesting.

He could've asked all he wanted, but I guarantee he wouldn't have gotten the answer he was looking for. They wouldn't give away a major plot point like that.

It will be interesting in any case to see if, indeed, the whole reason Chris is in Africa is not because of the BSAA but because of a lead to where Jill is or has been rumoured to been seen. Or perhaps he is just on the hunt for Wesker's blood and stuff goes down and a lot of vendettas are bought out into the open in this one.

EDIT: i was just listening to RE3's sound track, and i think, if Jill does die in RE5, they should have a funeral scene for her, and i think they should play this music at it, or something similar to that anyway, that song always makes me cry.

^ I'm like this,didn't like the ones that came after 3...And Jill was also the only reason I gave the series a second look(after playing as her on the gamecube one. I looked into the series but found RE4 uninteresting So I kept waiting/hopeing for Jill to comeback Yes I got into a game for a single character go ahead and laugh at me if you want I don't care I still think Jill was better than Ada)Also I remember hearing of the crap Capcom caused when they tried to remove Ryu,Ken,Chun Li and Akuma(the 3 characters who are most associated with the Street Fighter series and a reoccurring fan favorite) from Street Fighter III. I don't even think I need to elaborate on how that went and here they are about to do the same shit again(Do these companies never learn?)

getting into a series for a single character is nothing to be ashamed of at all, the characters are some of the best things about a game or movie, it's the same for playing a game for gameplay, playing for a character is because your playing it because you like that characters story, so it's a very valid reason.

and no capcom never learn, they probably figured, hay, when we took characters out of streat fighter, it made contraversy, lets do it for RE as well, mmm.... money.

On that note too, the main reason I got into RE in the first place was RE 2 and the amazing gameplay and how the horror aspect was a totally new concept to me and the fact that you just did not know what to expect. In that respect I liked Leon and Claire more in the game than I do in any other incarnations that seemed to have f'ed up their characters and made them nothing like the people I cared for in the game, much like they screwed up Jill in the second RE movie.

Point is, you want to care about the person you are playing in order to want to do what is best for them so they survive, and in the new RE games you just do not get that like you do in the older games imo. It is all action and not enough character development unless you have been following these games since the first release.

i got into RE because i loved Horror, and wanted to see what it was like in the video game form, and how it would play out, and before i played i only new of 1 character in the series, and it was Jill, so i was looking for the games with her in it as well.

yeah if Jill dies to help Chris defeat Wesker, or something like that, it would be the worst possible thing capcom could do, and it would totally suck.

if they had just killed her off suddenly in the game, it would have been pointless, but by putting it in the trailer, that way everyone finds out that Jill is dead, or is possibly dieing, that way everybody buys the game, and capcom gets more money.

plus it also secured all the classic fans that hated RE4 and said they were leaving the series will now come back to find out about Jill.
