Its actually quite depressing to know that alot of her popularity stems from "Whoa Jill in Resident Evil 3 is hot, shes my new favorite character". Its even more depressing when I see arguements on forums between fans and haters, haters express their understandably valid points and fans go one of two ways. They will also put out valid points or they will post half naked fan-art/hentai that is seemingly supposed to help their cause.
Jill is awesome but not because she is hot, at least in my opinion. I found that she was believable as a female heroine unlike alot of others that were around at her time. People used to tote how amazing Lara Croft was and I honestly could never buy into that hype. Of course this all could change depending on Jills role in Resident Evil 5, but heres to hoping it doesnt.
If you seriously think that Jill's 'character' is the sole most important thing about Jill we should be focusing on, well, okay.
Generally, I see Jill as being a product of the right place and the right time. Resident Evil didn't have a really hot character before RE3, where Capcom produced a hot Jill Valentine. The clothes helped, because fans hadn't seen Jill like that before. And the new fans just liked the look, and maybe the contrast between Jill and the zombies. And the character.
I do think Lara Croft is amazing too. Maybe a bit too 'universal', which is why I like Jill more.Last edited by Rakkoon; 02-14-2009, 03:31 PM.

You flatter me. The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success.
Sorry, just wanted an opportunity to shoehorn in a Bond film quotation.Last edited by Mr. Spencer; 02-14-2009, 03:58 PM.See you in hell.

I'd probably commit a hate crime. Yet another reference to a film series that was going to happen but they never actually made because it would have been terrible.
Why do people keep referring to these things? Remember when people started talking about that "Terminator 3" film? What was that all about?See you in hell.

But turning her into an Alice clone wouldn't be the worst thing that has happened to Jill. The worst thing that ever happened to Jill was taking the plucky, resourceful ex-Delta Force woman from RE1 and placing her in slutty attire (for the benefit of horny young game players who fantasize about digital women) and having her run around Raccoon City.
That is by far the worst crime committed toward Jill Valentine.
What kind of woman with military & law enforcement training would take to the streets (overrun by the living dead), pursued by a deadly killer, in a tube top (with no bra underneath as my profile image confirms) and a miniskirt? She's running around with her flesh exposed to FLESH eating zombies, in a pair of heeled boots. Any sane person would have broken into a sporting goods store or a military vintage store, and put on some appropriate clothing. You know, maybe also added some pockets to carry items?
But hey, lets turn Jill into a slut.Last edited by Jill's Boob; 02-14-2009, 04:25 PM.
