  • Nature of Jill Valentines death has been brought to light. Apparently Capcom is letting select people play the first two chapters (NOT FIRST TWO DEMO LEVELS) complete with story and cutscenes. How Jill "died" is revealed in a flashback.

    Spoiler:

I didnt get to play this, but I have seen posts from people who have included a really detailed version in which I took this from. I have to say that if this is the case, I am actually quite pleased, although it does seem a little too cliche and obvious.

Maybe cliche, but certainly ties in to that short scene in the trailer where we see wesker by the window.

I hope though now that, with this new trailer pretty much outlining and confirming long held theories and rumours, that the game itself will have a lot more twists and turns to keep us interested in the next 15 plus chapters as it seems a lot of this spoiler stuff happens in the first three.

      • Theres still alot to be covered that is still only being speculated on now. The early chapters of the game seem to just set up the story and give you an idea of whats going on. I believe the mission at the start through the first few chapters is just to find Irving. We probably won't deal with anything involving Jill till much much lady, aside from the plague doctor showing up to most likely be a thorn in our side.

            • Darinl do you have a link to those detailed walkthroughs? Sounds about right tho.

              Spoiler:

Nemesis you kinda right about that. Im reading the S.D Perry Nemesis novel now and she says that Jill is dressed that way because its easier for her to move around as she has to cover alot of ground. Theres no denying its for the male fans but is this really the first time a company has used tits and ass to entice us men. I mean turn on the t.v. for christs sake its everywhere.

              • Easier to move around? In a tight mini-skirt? Sure, I'm not a girl and I haven't wore a mini, but I doubt it's more comfortable than a pair of trousers.

                • Hey not my words. S.D. Perry is a girl though and your not so I'll take her side for now.

Yeah I can post it. Its basically the same as another one that was posted earlier, a little more detail put into it though.

                        Spoiler:

On the subject of Jill's dress attire, yeah I agree with most. It never really seemed like it fit in with how her character would dress but we dont really know. The only character development we really get from the characters of these games is basically them during crisis time and then whatever we read to fill in the blanks of what happened before and between games. Maybe thats just how Capcom felt Jill would of been outside of work. While I have no doubt that alot of it was probably to attract more male attention to the game, it also isn't as bad as people make it out to be. I have seen far more revealing women clothing in games, but again I wouldn't really label Miss Valentine's Last Escape getup as optimal for zombie infested city escaping.

                        • At the end of the day its Capcom's choice as to what the characters wear and is it the worst decsion they have ever made? Far from it I thnk theres alot worse clothes they could have put her in maybe it should have been an unlockable costume where as she wore something alittle more protective. But like I said theres worse things wrong with Re so I think we can forgive them for this.

Nice1 Darnil I'll give it a read now.

That was a good read thanks for that Darnil. Had quite abit of details I didnt know. How long does that actually take to get up to the point it finished?

                          • I don't know of the exact time it took to get to that point, as it was based on those who were able to do it over in London. It stops at the end of chapter 2, I don't recall the exact number of chapters in the game.

Well regardless of anyones opinion on dress attire, you do have to admit that Jill's outfit from Resident Evil 3 is one of the most recognizable outfits from any video game.

I wouldn't say so. It looked pretty damn run-o'-the-mill back then for me, and it still does. I don't see why people brag about it. Her original STARS outfit in the other hand tho is, for me at least, one of Capcom's finnest designs to date. Also, I'd wager that her STARS outfit is the most popular of the 2, especially after Jill's inclusion on Marvel vs Capcom 2.

Along with Mario's plumber outfit and Link's Peter Pan costume.
