This is never ending. Lets just say for the sake of ending it, that the blue tubetop and skirt just happened to be Jills favorite outfits so she decided that she was going to wear it on her last escape just so she wouldn't have to carry it.
Is it really that big of a deal? Did you play the game and think "Oh this isn't going to work, I cant fight zombies dressed like this..its so unpractical that I am going to turn my game off!". I doubt anyone did that.

I want another game with a strong female lead like Jill Valentine, i have to admit i really enjoyed resident evil 3 with nemesis on hard mode.
I hope they stick with the original character's and although i am a guy i want a female lead character for the next game.
Oh also i wanted to add about stereo typed images/tv images/media, as a guy i feel pressure to keep my image up and put on muscle.. as i went through some crap in school and i totally changed my body for this reason.
The world is a cruel place, and unfortunately tv isn't reality because it creates paranoia in boys aswell as girls about your own image.
I am happy that i have put muscle on and it does give me confidence but seriously, it wasn't worth loosing 5 years of my life in the dark working to obtain it with nothing else.
Now im 20 years old and im working at college to get my life back on track, just shows not to take these things to heart - games and tv are not reality most of the time and is a reason why i love games.
You do see this alot though, in girls being too skinny because they think that is normal. I like my games to be pretty realistic, but i also like a bit of fantasy where the rules of logic do not apply (and in this case it would be their attire).
This is just my opinion of course, sorry needed my 2 cents .Last edited by BlackHeart; 02-18-2009, 07:55 PM.

OMG, I can't believe the shit-storm this has created!
Firstly...I really was offended by the earlier comment you made. As a girl gamer, I hate it when a female character is overly sexualized for no reason.
As for the sexualization (is that a word?) of female characters and women in general... What can I say? Welcome to Planet Earth (or at least western civilization). There's not really much I can do about this, except perhaps apologize on behalf of mankind.
Huge essays and big fat books could and have been written on this subject and I don't think it will be resolved here.
But in case you or anybody else has the wrong idea about me, I would like to say that never in my posts or in real life have I suggested that I want or like girls to be stupid, weak and submissive. The opposite is true. I like girls who are strong, athletic, smart and yes, sexy. If liking sexy girls makes me some kind of sick, evil monster, then call me Mr.Sicko
Sexiness has power. A LOT of power, especially when people are smart enough to use it. It's not fair for less attractive people but that's the cruel reality of human nature. There have been experiments done that have proved this and much of this behavior is done subconsciously.
But we're talking about a videogame character and a game series that is played by a lot of teenage boys. So, Capcom thought they might appeal to them by putting Jill in a miniskirt. I really don't see the big deal and I'm pretty sure that most of us just don't care.
But I respect your feelings. I could tell you to lighten up but I don't want to get yelled at again.

I don't know why people complain about that outfit... I mean.. i really don't care, that's not why Jill is my favourite character, and I think that outfit might be her casual clothes... she was in her apartment, she didn't expect the whole thing of an undead city... RE3 was great game I don't want it to be ruined just because the main lead wears a miniskirt.
