i don't care if she's 50 really. i still would want her as the protagonist.

    • Yes, I agree, I just thought it was stupid that someone said she was getting sort of old and she's only 34/35.

        • Exactly.

I do have a feeling that this'll be the last time we see Jill for a while, if she makes it out of the game alive.

i feel exact opposite, i think this is forshadowing her being much more involved in the plot than she was before. she may be featured even more heavily from now on.

            • I think it does all depend on what actually happens to her in this game. I really hope she lives, but if she does I know there's going to be something wrong with her, some sort of stupid sequal bait or something.

I got an image in my head of Barry bursting into the designers office, beefed up, all tanned, wearing shades and a hawiian shirt shirt, holding a surf board, saying "I'm back" only to get chucked out as he is too old.

Barry was always the muscle of Jills team.

I think she'll be back. Either as an antagonist or a superpowered human. Jill was never really shown as an acrobatic character (shown in RE UC) so moving like Ada/Sheeva would take a hell of a lot of training. So it's probably a lot easier for Capcom to Kill her, resurrect her via Wesker, to be Weskers new associate, then have Jill remember herself and break free from Weskers control so for the next game she isn't so useless.

I'd like to see Claire return but I think they have put her out to pasture.

i hate to say it but i think your right. maybe this is all just a device to have Jill be able to do back flips and crazy stuff like that.

oh why can't we just go back to the classic style?

also Jill doesn't need to be acrobatic to be dangerous, in Remake and RE3 she could still use a knife effectivly, and in the beta video's she could punch and kick zombies. she doesn't need to do super flips.

                    • Barry will be so pissed off if he finds out what happened to Jill, he must make a cameo like he did in RE3, he is too close of Jill.

Yes but she can't take out several assailants at the same time like that.

In UC, raccoon's destruction, the horde of zombies engulfed her and she didn't seem too agile there.

Leon is quicker and stronger than the average joe as he had intensive training for like 5 odd years. Leon's moves seem to be a combination of tactics, agility and strength.

Chris looks like he went on a diet of steriods to build up his strength since the final chapter of UC. All of Chris's moves seem to be power based.

Ada could just be naturally agile and since we don't know a lot about her past, could have had intensive training to improve her agility.

Sheva could be the same, naturally agile, plus training to enhance it.

So the only way Jill could improve herself, at least at her age, would be a Chris style crash course of steriods. And I think Jill's fan base would loose a lot of members if she looked a lot like She-hulk. So I come to my super power hypothesis. Jill can't be "killed" else you'll end up loosing a large fanbase and since everyone is in it for the money, they'll loose a large revenue from it. I think the whole thing is just a plot device to draw fans in as well as reinvent Jill so she can fit in with the new RE combat style.

i agree. she's nowhere near to old. when she's 113 ill start considering her retirement.

i still think there could have been other ways to do it. and she still does not need to be acrobatic. she can just be like she was in the classics. i would personally hate to see Jill made into another Leon, or follow suit with other characters like Ada and Sheva and become all acrobatic. we don't need another female that just flips around and performs butterfly kicks all day.

also, she could just have done training, she doesn't have to die and become evil to acheive that. and she was Ex Delta Force, im sure she's a pro in hand to hand Close Quarters Combat anyway. it's just not a smart idea to go around punching zombies, so we never saw her use it. but she could use it on a Majini with no fear of getting bit.

                          • I actually think acrobatics is better than brute force for a female character. I don't mind an acrobatic Jill. It's a graceful fighting style, and I think that would suit her. Now all we need is Wesker to become Neo.

I agree with that. Just one thing, I don't count UC's pathetic scenes as canon, you have to remember the original RE3 version... she managed to survived plus she knows how to handle dangerous situations. She has skills, just with a hard trainning she could have become a more powerful and skilled woman. Also we already know that there's a big fanbase of Jill all around the world, as many other characters too, so I agree with you about they are just reinvent Jill, which I think is pretty cool as long as they do the right thing.

                              • UC really did screw the RE3 story. I don't know why they didn't just adapt the actual story, it would've been a lot more fun and challenging.
