What? You wanted them to remake levels from RE3 and not just reuse levels from Outbreak? They did make three new models for that portion of the game (Carlos, Nemesis, and Grave Digger) and you want them to do more?
    You are heartless .

      • Maybe if she is infected she might not age anymore, haha.. if only that happened to every character "they do not age anymore" .

        • Ok well maybe the age thing isn't that huge of a deal.

About Jills acrobatics, remember she was trained in Delta Force, is seemingly in good shape and I don't find it hard to believe that between the events of Raccoon City and 2003...that she didnt try to better herself in terms of fighting ability.

That said, alot of discussion here is based on Jills future in future games. While its a nice thought, I don't really think her future looks all that good. We already know theres a dark ending in store for RE5 so its likely theres going to be some death going around. In addition to that...we don't know the extent of whats wrong with Jill. Shes undergone alot of experimentation obviously and could very well be infected. I really don't think theres any coming back from something like that.

you would think so wouldn't you, but let me direct your attention to a Leon S Kennedy for a moment.

he was infected in RE4, it had NO effect on him afterwards whatsoever at all.

so there is no reason Jill cannot be perfectly fine after it.

                • I've been browsing these forums on and off. Been with RE for many, many years. My favourite character is Jill, primarily due to her great attitude in Remake, but I'm not a zealot. So, I've been hanging around this thread also. No way am I going to read it all, or, heck, most of it, but I've read enough to want to post. And not because I liked most of what I saw.

Firstly, thirty isn't old. I feel sorry for those that think so. And a little disturbed. For an example, look no further than Kate Beckinsale, well known for her role in the Underworld films. Age? 35. And when you're watching her taking on twice-her-size werewolves in albeit OTT fictional (vampiric) fashion, dressed in her dubious skin-tight leather suit, the last thing you are thinking is that this girl is too old for the job.

Secondly, from the investment of thousands of hours into the Biohazard franchise, and hundreds of my currency into console, games, books and other merchandise, it is my understanding Jill was always the agile, covert, precision-not-power type. She heralds from the Delta Force, and being the US equivalent of the almost legendary British SAS (indeed the DF selection process is based on the SAS model), I expect they have no less of an extremely strenuous selection purpose. You have to be quite the elite athlete. People suffer injuries in the initial selection that mean they will be unable to ever pass the medical again for a re-test.

They organise it so that you either get heatstroke or frostbite in the selection test, while on your lonesome, during a death-cliff-hike with a rucksack full of rocks and full kit. When that’s passed, they are shipped to a jungle and then hunted by their own until they are captured (they must evade capture for a fortnight I believe, but capture is, by rule, inevitable), and then they are tortured to see if they can resist interrogation. That kind of physical and mental capacity will not have gone by thirty five, indeed, you will be on the of healthiest thirty-five year-olds around. Also, did you see the Remake demo vid of Jill doing her little routine full of aerobatic high-kicks?

Thus, stop knocking her for being in her thirties. You'll all be there.

Meh, and she is, by vote, the most popular RE character by a significant margin. The same applies internally, amongst Capcom staff. She represents the series in spin-offs.

Thus, I consider it unlikely they'll kill her off or turn her into a horrendous mutation. Conversely, I do consider it likely she'll get another outing sooner rather than later. However, I am concerned she'll end up with Wesker-esque super-powers. Although, the staff is Japanese, and Asians have a very refreshing trend to allow good, bad ends, where the hero dies but otherwise achieves their objective, rather than the Hollywood staple of good-guy wins all.

Ok, I’m hungry, so that’s it for now. Now, don’t get more wrong. That wasn’t a fan-rant. One way or the other I am really going to enjoy RE5. I bought a 360 for the privilege.

I also cannot stand pseudo-non-sexists. You know who you are.

                    • You make alot of valid points. However most of what you said gets thrown out the window the moment Jill is infected or experimented on and being made into whatever it is that she is now. I don't doubt that Jill was agile or quick or well trained in hand to hand combat, but not so much as shown in the Play God trailer or never did she have the strength shown in the latest trailer. That can be contributed to whatever Tricell did to her.

Its unknown what happened to her. Did she die or survive? Was she revived through biogenetic experimentation? Can she ever be changed back into who she was? Will Sheva and Jill team up to make a Chris sandwich? We wont know till the games released.

I personally dont think theres any coming back from what Jill went through, even if she doesnt die...I think if brought back to her senses her PTSD would be even worse then Chris's shown in the viral videos. But who knows. Also as much as I like Jill, her popularity is over exaggerated sometimes. From the time the game was announced for the first half of 2008...no one really seemed to mind Jill not being in the game...or had no interest in her at all. Once she was apparently "killed" though...it sparked alot of interest. For the most part...everyone though Jills story had nothing more to it.

That would definitely be welcomed by yours truly. Oh boy, that would be glorious. You got a little bit of everything in that sandwich. Dark meat, light meat, mayon -- I'll stop.

                        • Maybe THAT is the fear Chris cant seem to forget. Nevermind all Wesker throws at Chris, the countless people he had to kill, the terrors he faced...but in fact it was sandwich that finally broke him.

I did...I was hoping she'd come back as a playable character ever since I played the REmake then I heard she died and well...I actually got depressed for a week or 2 dudes no joke...I guess I'm weird and must REALLY like Jill )

Well I am a fan of Jill as well, probably like her character more then anyone else in the series. I found her to be more believable then Claire and could hold her own when compared to male protagonists. When it was announced that Chris was the lead for RE5...a few speculated if Jill would be involved in the game and as I said most just figured no, maybe or why...as she really didnt have much more story to tell. Once her tombstone was shown, Jill pretty much became the most discussed video game character at that point in time. Was she dead? Was she alive? I bet shes alive. Shes birdwoman. Shes in the tube. She was evil from the start. Jill was reincarnated as Excella's left boob. So many theories thrown around, some made sense, others were ridiculous.

Character wise, I think what Capcom did was a good move. While I would of enjoyed a Chris/Jill teamup in this game..I think Jill would of suffered from what Sheva is going to suffer from...and that is being extremely overshadowed. Capcom has made Jill an important factor in the Wesker/Chris rivalry and there will no doubt be interesting plot twists as well. Jill really won't be overshadowed and it helps from making her character seem dull. If she dies, there will no doubt be sadness and people will remember it as a staple moment in the RE franchise. If she lives, people will be happy...well so long as she doesnt become Alice-ified.

Well if she dies they'll most likely bring her back I've been to alot of gaming sites and alot of people say they'll leave the series if Jill dies*less fans= less money* Some have even said they'll write Capcom if she dies. I'm not being a fanatic I'm just stating what I've seen.As for me if Jill dies I won't be playing any new REs the series has already lost it's luster to me it isn't scary to me anymore and I dislike the current gameplay engine So Jill's the only reason I still hold on to it if she gos I'll just play the REmakes,0 and CVX.
