I dont think we will see Jill or Chris in a future Resident Evil game. Their story is pretty much over. The only way we would see them is in a Chronicles type game with multiple scenarios that features different characters.

You can debate that the ending left you wondering what happens to them after...I think its left like that so you can leave it up to yourself. Does Jill rejoin the BSAA? Does Chris really suffer PTSD? Do Chris and Jill make babies? Does anyone care or does it really matter?

Them being in their mid-thirties doesn't bode well for them either. And this is Capcom + RE, where character development is almost nonexistent.

As much as I'd love to see Chris & Jill again, I won't get my hopes up.

There's that too but then again Barry was in his 50's and they might come up with some BS excuse to keep her(Jill) young(just look at Nina/Anna from Tekken)

This was my first thought. On a somewhat related note U8 reminds me of the Metroid Prime's exoskeleton, the file mentioning a U8-Prime didn't help either.

What exactly is Chris and Jill's story? Their ongoing feud with Wesker? They never really had a "story", so I dont see how they are now being excluded from the RE universe. Just because Spoiler:

means they can now retire? I highly doubt Wesker was the only bioterrorist out there you know, and just because Spoiler:

he's gone

doesn't mean the world is rid of all evil. There will always be someone out there following in his footsteps. And as long as there is evil in the world, these two will never give up. Its like Chris says at the end of RE5, "...For a future without fear...Yeah, it's worth it."

Chris and Jill are the fighting type, they're not the kind of people that give up, retire, get married(well, maybe), have kids, sit on the couch, get overheight...thats just not their style. Look at Wesker, 49 and still trying to destroy the world. If Wesker is able to do his thing at that age, I see no reason why Chris and Jill can't. So age really doesn't have anything to do with it. As long as there is biological threats in the world, I highly doubt we've seen the last of these two.

I dont think age is a factor really, unless they were to fast foward 10-15 years. Chris at the age he is in RE5 was better then any of his previous appearances, and Jill despite her lack of gametime has honed her skills further then we last saw her.

As much as I would like a game featuring the two of them again, I dont think it will happen just because almost everything linked to them that was significant has been taken care of. Sure, they might make it home...Jill could rejoin the BSAA and continue to fight but continuity wise theres nothing that appealing anymore. It would be a hard sell for any new antagonist for them, and if they get thrown into a situation similiar to the Mansion Incident again, fans will just groan and call it too predictable. So as much as I like the two of them, I find it difficult to imagine a story that I would be interested in regarding them. I could say the same for other characters as well as I really could care less what becomes of Leon or Ada as I feel RE5 will probably be the last RE game I actually get excited for.

^Agreed. Matrix ninja cirque de soleil acrobat supersecret agent 007 Solid Snake amalgamations like Leon & Ada do NOT equal "Survival HORROR." If anything, they represent the bastardization that changed this franchise in RE4.

That's my main reasoning behind my support for "rebooting" the franchise with new antagonists and new protagonists.

I suppose you all could be right in assuming Chris & Jill aren't too old for more adventures...but honestly, how many video games focus on "older" heroes and heroines? As much as the "old school" characters are fan favorites, "younger" heroes are more appealing to the "younger" video game market.

Anyway, concerning Jill...despite the claims that she's highly sexualized in her "battlesuit" attire, I still feel that she looks better than her RE3 character model.

Her RE3 look is disturbing, as she looks emaciated and dressed like she scores smack with her body. I really hate the RE3 art design. WTF is wrong with her jaw bone?! Her head looks like an alien with brown hair.

your forgetting where its made Jill's boob,capcom probably thought alot of women dressed like that knowing them.

^Eh, I'm not even complaining as much on her attire (that's been done to death) but her face. I think that character model has a "butterface."

I think the best looking Jill I have ever seen is the RE5 BSAA Jill. I borrowed my friend's strategy guide and there's a picture of her on page 188 that is adorably cute. I'll scan it and post it.

and is it me or is her neck LONGER in RE3 then the other games? it looks kind of like its six inchs long sometimes.

Yeah, I love that model of her. I thought the hat could've used a BSAA logo or something, seeing as Chris is logo'd up in like 3 or 4 places and Jill has no logo whatsoever, but it doesn't matter...she looks really cute there.
