I'am with you there. And none of the major re characters died in the series. Brad was a faceless pilot in re1 and "that dude that was faceraped by Nemesis in the first 15 minutes of the game". And a zombie in re2. Someone have to die and I don't care wether it's gona be Jill, Chris, Sheva or Wesker, I just want it to look epic, like something you won't forget, imo re must be a little more serious and tragic.

Since Sven confirmed the Viral Campaign Episodes are approved by Capcom Japan and so they are canon Chris and Sheva will survive, so the question is who is gonna die, Wesker or Jill?
I don't know if someone remember what Kawaya said during the TGS: "With RE5 we'll have the conclusion of one of the stories in the RE universe"
To me one story = one life, Wesker or Jill.

hmm thats also true actully but i just dont think capcom whould kill off a character like her well at least not in that way i still belive shes alive and kicking it its like the metal gear solid 4 game the whole deal with big boss and his grave ( well if you played the game you know i wont spoile)

so in the end i dont belive shes actully dead but its kinda either a cover up for her own sake and no one can know about it, and then it chould be she needs to get close to wesker or tricell so shes undercover kinda as the birdlady ??

+1. If she's dead, the Dev team must make something worth to see, if not, a lot of Jill fans will be happy as hell with that twist. RE was missing a mayor characters death (I'd prefer the-one-who-can't-be-named, but well...)

@ Sunglasses: The suit of Chris looks a lot like the hidden costume of the Saturn ver of RE1 .

I dont think thats Jill in the photo just doesnt look like her, Although the Chris they used looks nothing like the Chris we all know so maybe they have changed her look for Re5 its next gen graphics too so she is bound to look different.

I really dont see the point in killing a main character off though specially the way they are going about it, they just teasing it and teasing it and it probably wont even happen but either way I would not be suprised to see Jill in Re5 now because I'm expecting to see her, so they have killed off the shock factor. So now whatever happens I'll be expecting it, so how they can expect to shock fans when we have had enough time to think up every possible angle that will happen is beyond me. She either dies, is dead, is evil, or is fine well whoopdey doo I'd rather have just played the game and been suprised than find out like 5 months before the game is even out.

There seem to be four major characters to RE: Chris, Jill, Claire, Leon. One of them have to die. If all the RE fans had one favourite major character, then chances are that 25% of fans will be disappointed.

I'm not so bad to be like OMG IF JILL'S DEAD I HATE THIS SERIES 4EVA, since a series that's not realistic in that aspect isn't very interesting. Part of good series to me is getting characters in the first place that you get attached enough to to be like D: if they die later on. I'm either way with Jill. I don't hope one or the other, but whichever it actually is, I just hope it's interesting and good to her character. IE if she's alive, I want to know why everybody assumed she was dead with good reason, not just something like "o i faked my death for this reason I could have not pretended to be dead for but still accomplished otherwise" And if she's dead, I want to know how it happened and for it to not to be a cheap feel sort of death. So either is cool to me, as long as it's interesting.

It's after RE5. Chris was a giant in re1 either, he was slightly "shrinked" in CV and Remake, imo that was a bad move.
