Jill is presumed dead. During his mission, Chris happens upon the files (mentioned in the podcast) leading him to believe she is not dead. Later, it is revealed that Jill is the masked woman. She fights Chris and Sheva ("But now that your partner has arrived, I'll leave you two, to catch up."), but is subdued and has her brainwashing undone. Jill later appears in the ending, doing better, and her & Chris have their requisite reunion/happy ending together. This ties up their stories and we probably won't be seeing them again in the series (as they are "getting too old for this").

Jill is a playable character in the RE5 mini-game.

It's almost cut & dry.

P.S. To anyone that doubted me, back in July, when I said that Jill is the Mystery Woman, based on her jaw outline, I now say "I told you so." ;)

You were right Boob and I knew it ... but I would DIE to believe your thoughts about this... It's so confusing now...

I think it would be to predictable but that would hurt less than having Jill brainwashed and have Chris forced to kill her...

Well Jill has 2 alternative outfits, so I doubt she will be dead after RE5...

I don't know if it is two alternative outfits per se, or just two different encounters with her during the course of the game.

But...maybe "Jill 1" = old school Jill in a flashback, and "Jill 2" = leather clad, cloaked, masked Jill?

Maybe. But I think there will be only 1 "happy" ending for Chris & Jill. The tombstone, I believe, is a plot device during the initial part of the story. It is dated 2006 for her, ahem, "death."

Well, according to the hacked files, Jill is Wesker's "partner" in the Mercenaries or Versus mini-games. Makes sense for there to be a pair of teammates, since that is the way the game is designed. That pretty much makes Jill the "Mystery Woman" and/or "tube lady." (I've guessed all along that they were one and the same, since they both wear black leather jumpsuits.)

I just keep wondering where Sherry is...she HAS to be the blonde girl in distress on the balcony of that dilapidated building.
