Anyway what I wanted to say is Sheva appears in the post viral campaign videos with Chris so I doubt very much that she goes against him. Obviously she knows something she grew up there, dont think she knows Jill, she just knows something about the past of the place is all.

my theory

Hey guys kinda new here, i have been reading a while and i wanted to add some input. jill valentine is my 2nd favourite characters in RE, Chris being my first.

My theory is below warning it contains some spoilers to anyone who doesn't want to have anything spoiled.

I have a theory on this, but i think it might be flawed by some guy reading what was actually on the piece of paper chris reads on the viral video? but anyway i will say it.

My theory is simple.. the award ceremony might not take place at end of the game, maybe this is a flash back just after jill has vanished and thought to be dead?

I mean this could be at any time in the game, the actor isnt very buff like chris to say the least (so maybe this is set before he put the muscle on? i.e just after UC?) but it may be that they could not find the right actor who is big enough.

I just think its a little too clear to drop all these hints (that she is dead or will die), i think this is what they want us to think.. they are being very coy about it and i would not be surprised.

Correct me if i am wrong but i just wanted to add my little theory, i beleive jill is way too important to the resident evil series to kill at the moment.

P.S is that girl in the vid that got the paper after he dropped it actually sheva? like some guy said i thought it was ronaldinho from fifa 08 when i noticed her..

Like i said i smell a rat and i doubt she dies.. i would not say she will live though, its all too clear.. they have dropped those hints to make us suspect this i beleive, but maybe i am just paranoid lol.

Considering the event states directly that it is post Kijuju, I'd say that shoots down your first half. And yes...the woman that picks up the notes is probably supposed to be Sheva since she has appeared in other stills from future productions.

I have to agree about it spicing up the series (killing jill then chris going off in a rage), but like i said its just too obvious from the trailers and the little hints.

Do you really think chris could kill wesker alone? i don't think so, he is just too fast and strong for anyone alone let alone sheva + chris..

Maybe sherry dies? i just this second thought that as the story progresses he might find it as his duty to protect her, what if he actually fail's and she get's kidnapped or worse.. It might be possible that wesker survives and indeed escapes with her captive and he can't stop it.

All these things that they havent showed us or might be trying to distract us from suspecting.

Other then that what would give someone problems talking about the past? hm.. i am not too sure but i know getting beaten up by wesker all the time isn't good atleast for me lol.

The look on his face is of a guilty man atleast to me, sort of blaming himself so it points me more towards jill or sherry dieing or getting kidnapped again.

I don't think sherry was in the ceremony was she? i heard some talk of her being the blonde girl but i think that might also be a reporter/spectator unless its confirmed.

I would also like to add that, chris redfield is a human being (although not real). I point this bit out because maybe the game is trying to prove he has been scared or suffered major trauma from all the death and pain he has witnessed on his recent mission Pointing out that the game is actually scary.

Chris redfield is very experienced with zombies and such, i just think its possible for someone to be that scared that it stay's with them the rest of their lives. (i doubt that a man like chris would really suffer that unless well.. u know) but it is an option i would never rule out.

Either way this game is going to be amazing, i am intrigued.

I hope there is multiple endings though.

Dont know how many of you have checked out the Re5 trophie list and if you have discussed it I missed it but one of the trophies is called "Masters Of Removing" Work together to save someone special, Masters of removing is a referance to Jill's master of unlocking and someone special to Chris hm who could it be?! Come on is this list a fake or is Capcom that stupid, obviously theres two options wether you want to save Jill or not, Eitherway she wont die even if you dont choose to help her im sure there will be a Chris ending where he say's "She's alive I just know it" Like in the remake endings. Well it would not be a smart move if they wanted to continue chris redfield's story at any point imo, i just can't see her dieing forever.

They have been taking their time creating RE5 i think with all that time, multiple endings should be in there. That viral video they showed with chris might just be a hint at one of the possible endings who knows? it might not even have much to do with Jill lot's of things can do that to a man.

The demo probably doesn't show everything i think (every file isn't in the demo afterall).

As soon as i heard about Jill's death i thought "WHAT?!" and came to check, it is a very clever ploy on their behalf, killing Jill is like killing one of the main jedi on star wars (STARS being like the jedi of resident evil).

i think they could have a lot more story for Jill's character, and we still have a lot to find out about her, i don't think it's fair for her to be killed of so early.

So Jill is birlady, and Sheva knows her. Ummm... interesting... I don't really like Jill being Birdlady just because of those super moves ala "Alice"... they'll ruin her character by doing such thing. Is there anything I might have missed from the news?

Here's a cool question for those who said Chris might kill Jill because Sheva didn't tell him birdwoman is actually Jill - Would you want her at your award ceremony if she betrayed you in such a way? i think to me atleast it would feel like she betrayed me.

In that case i would not like her anymore, i would probably blame her actually because she took my chance away to save her (i.e leading to u killing her). There is no way i would trust her after that, what else would she hide from you?

Some very interesting spoiler thoughts i have thought of below.

There is a vid of a girl that looks very similar to Jill (same nose, same haircut, same lips, same eye colour inside a water tank who is sort of being held captive by the look's of it. That is why i beleive she has been cloned or something but i may be wrong.

Also it's funny u bring tanks up as in metal tanks with gun's because i heard there is something like that ingame at a later date lol, that would be fun.

Here is something of interest my friend has told me aswell, in halo they had a trailer just like the live action viral one we have seen. It turned out that trailer was just to hype the game up before launch and had no part in the real game.

The "sheva knew" thing kind of makes me wander but i think she could know anything.. its very misleading.

Aha i just had another thought, do you guys think it is possible for Excella to not be 100% evil? i mean for Jill to be working with her (i have heard excella is actually of the family that founded Tricel). Now that i think of it that explain's alot Excella taking down Wesker for her company gains she may get, Jill covers herself up in a bird suit to hide her true identity from Wesker? If i remember correctly the Travis family was subject to very cruel experiement's Excella descends from that very family, maybe she is after revenge on Wesker.

Did you notice in that one trailer she says ""If you behave yourselves maybe I'll help you" that is not the words of a true baddie is it? Also Capcom did say that some companies were using the virus for good.

Tell me what you guys think about some of these explanation's i have thought of.

Not a bad theory on Excella above. Could have some truth to it but I did notice in a trailer the other day that Excella is giving Birdlady injections. She is also in the background during the scene where Birdlady fights Chris and Sheva and does that backwards flip. Whatever Excella's agenda is, Wesker is one step ahead of her, he definatley double crosses and even kills her before the end of the game. He's too smart to fall for her ploy. Like I said after seeing that trophie called "Master Of Removing" it's pretty much confirmed that Jill can either die or be saved and this is smart for Capcom because they will bring her back for Re6 then people will wanna know her story. Dont expect to get too much info on Jill in this game. I think she will have about 10 minutes screen time in the bird outfit and only minutes unmasked.
