That would've been great But is Gaiden canon? Well, I assume Barry got away alive from the mansion becase of the RE3 epilogue. Also, I think Becca didn't. That's how it should've been, and I hate the fact that they dind't fix the part where they fight with Tyrant, why not Barry Becca Jill and Chris? because it's is believe that all got away from there but it all depends who you play as. That's a fatal mistake...

Well, there's a file in RE2 that says they all survived. And the reason they didn't change it was to be true to the original. And frankly, it's better off that way.

But if Gaiden WAS Canon, then Leon is actually a shapeshifting BOW in disguise... But then his blood should be green.

Ah, I have a theory about that. You see, the B.O.W realised it couldn't exist as leon forever, and so it chose a form more suitable to it's needs: His hair. The roots seep into the brain of the real Leon as he wanders around, slowly loosing personality while the monster throws out witty one liners and gives him super powers. As the hair grows so does his personality diminish. Eventually the hair will kill Leon and everyone around him, hopefully including Ashley in the body count.

Yup. That's the theory. And it explains some of lines I saw from the Degen trailers, such as:

Leon S. Kennedy: Leon S. Kennedy

Who would mention an initial themselves without a mind eating parasite?

You know, statistically speaking.. Bullets and planes involved... Being a Kennedy, Leon should die in Degeneration.

Yeah, but the difference is, Metal Gear Solid thrives on plot twists. Resident Evil's plot has usually been fairly straight forward. I mean, be honest, who was actually surprised that Wesker was a traitor? And as far as I could think, that was like, the biggest twist in the entire series.
