In that case though, how come Steve, Claire and Chris weren't infected? If it's because of the 10% of people who don't get infected from the T-Virus, surely there'd have been more survivors than that? And wasn't Rodrigo bitten by a zombie yet he didn't turn? o.O

Rodrigo was shot or hit by a piece of shrapnel from a bomb or something. Steve wasn't infected because they needed a side character and Claire because they needed a protagonist. Chris didn't get infected because by the time he got there, the virus would have long since gone.

The rain would've also sped up the virus. And would explain how the graveyard zombies and the gulp worm came to be.

Rodrigo's awesome DNA overwrote the T-virus, Steve's dad could have learned a lesson or two from him.

Can't remember if I posted here or not, but no matter, i'd say the most skilled characters were Dario Russo, as unlike most these overcharged characters in the series, Dario could write!

Oh yeah, I suppose Chris, Carlos, HUNK and Wesker were adequately skilled, then there was Leon, who was not actually human but rather an orphan from the Planet Krypton who crash landed on the planet earth to become the scourge of the undead, only armed with a hand gun, emo haircut and a book of demented one liners, his only weaknesses are poorly developed femme fetales and the inattentive hyperactivity disorder concerning the constant loss of jackets.

I know why they did it, I mean trying to explain it in reasonable terms, knowing what we know about the virus. I could say Alexia could have easily owned Wesker, Chris and Claire quite easily, but she died because you can't have the main antagonist survive a Resident Evil game. They always have to end with an explosion.

You've said that the virus was airborne, and it infected pretty much everything on the Island in a matter of seconds. I still don't agree with that. I think the rain would have sped up the rate of infection, and the fact it was an isolated Island, not a big city like Raccoon City, and the fact that a lot of people were getting injured and more than likely falling into puddles (Wesker's attack on the base), and the fact that his Hunters were released as well. All of these things mean the virus would have spread significantly faster than in Raccoon City, but if you mean it's airborne so that everyone who breathes it in gets infected, it just doesn't add up. There are too many inconsistencies. The only thing to really back it up is the fact that it says in game about the vent, "This is where the virus must have leaked through".

The Rockfort mysterious air flu has been argued over and there are better and more plausible reasons to believe that it was not an airbourne strain, than to take what we know and ignore it fully and claim that it was an airbourne strain just because of a broken vent in a very, very small lab.

As for the Keeper. How does one forget about fleas? Possible vector, would also explain why he is scratching himself (bitmarks with T-Viral infection). It wouldnt surprise me if the Mansions water supply was borked, either. Even if you wont get infected by merely drinking it, youll most certainly get infected by brushing your teeth with it.

No, I think HUNK is higher in the skill chain than Chris. Same with Billy. Billy was in the Marines. Chris was only briefly in the airforce, and then STARS.
