I'm not gonna read all that... Especially not about Sergei.
I'll tell you why I don't like him though, and the #1 reason is very simple:
Who the hell is this guy?? I mean, we've never heard of him before, then suddenly Capcom says, "Oh no, he was actually there all along... Meddling behind the scenes... You just didn't see him. But he's actually a part of the storyline all along..."
That's the worst way to introduce a character. It can be done, and only rarely is it done well (like in Lost), but Capcom does not have the writing prowess to make it effective. So all they did was just kind of threw him in there, and made him out to be this big badass like he was important to the storyline, when.. If they had never introduced him to the storyline, nothing would have changed. People wouldn't say, "There's some things that are unexplained."
Suddenly he's Spencer's lap dog? Get outa here!
There are more reasons, like his appearance and how he's portrayed, but I'm not gonna get into it. I'd rather not have to think about Sergei so much.
