No I do not. I haven't met any fanboys here. Everyone is quite reasonable and respectable though I disagre ewith a lot of people here on things.
I also hope you don't put me into that category. There's plenty of things wrong with RE4 and I know it.

Yeah, well, I don't consider RE5 canon, so whether they kill her off or not, means nothing to me because I don't bother counting it. And as far as I'm concerned, she doesn't die.

I think of him as good cheesy fun. People made one-liners in RE2, 3 and CVX. It's nothing new. All Leon in RE4 did was use them more.

Yes, but that's like saying. "They've done some things that weren't ideal in the past. So it's okay if EVERYTHING they do isn't ideal."

Like I said, if there was one thing I didn't like about RE4, I'd let it go. But it's the fact that I hated all the combination of different aspects about it, that made me hate the game.

But with Leon it seemed to me like they thought, "These lines are cool. If he says them people are gonna think he's a cool guy!"

i didn't mind Leon's one liners much, but that's because i have a soft spot for incedibly bad voice acting and one liners.


anyway i just have to tell you something that those idiot mods at gamefaqs did.

i assume you all know beasley, well his current gamefaqs account is "X updater", and he just got banned again, but there is another guy on the gamefaqs boards called "Raycon Updater", and since they both happen to have the word "updater" in there usernames, the mods thought they were the same person and banned them both.

but the thing that was even funnier was the reason for banning that they gave him which was "12-01-2008 -- This account has been banned from posting any further messages on GameFAQs due to the actions of another shared account. The account X_Updater was banned for one or more severe TOS violations, and as this account was used on the same computer, it has also been banned. This set of circumstances is clearly explained in the TOS.

If Alice ever appears in a RE game I will stop playing them. Seriously. I would never touch that. That is the one thing I always swore would put me off completely. Ugh.

Leon might have been OK if he'd A) ever shown fear or concern and B) used A one line like the other games. Instead of being an awesome killing machine iof raw awesome he'd have been, well, vaguely human.

Not to mention his backflips, window dives and casual jumps from 20 foot ledges.

You hate Alice... And seriously... Think about Alice's dynamics in the game. How she moved what she could do. Even Alice couldn't make a backflip like Leon did when he dodged those lasers. Alice would be diced into little pieces had she tried avoiding the lasers with a backflip. But somehow, Leon jumped ever-so-perfectly that he avoided each one of those lasers just just barely.

It makes me think Capcom is catering to idiots, if someone sees that and actually likes it.

It's like that one scene in Devil May Cry 4, where the hero beats a boss called the Destroyer... If you haven't seen it, just watch this, skip to 5:32:

I was watching one of my classmates play it, and he says, "That's exactly what you want to happen!" or something along those lines. Pardon my french, but give me a fucking break. That's over the top even for Devil May Cry. That's over the top even for franchises like the Final Fantasy 7 spinoffs.

Also, I'm pretty sure in the church, he says "what did you do to [Ashley]?!" in a grr voice while also stepping forward indignantly.

As for fear and concern..what do you call looking left and right like "the hell?" then boarding yourself in a house while going "shit!"?

Oh and the final line about Ada when he turns down "overtime" shows more feeling.

He became a killing machine because the game made it oh so easy for him to do so. Ammo was everywhere, a small village with only 5 houses had a population bigger than Texas, and unless you the player were being careless or sucked at quick time events, you weren't going to get killed too often.

Look at the other RE games. No one acted like they were going to destroy an entire population of zombies because they actually had something to fear. RE4 made it too easy. True, Leon's character development was shitty, but again...just look at the game itself.
