Resident Evil: Degeneration "leaked"

I reckon it's RE2 > RE4 > Degeneration.
Leon always just STOOD there in the emotional scenes, cause he's too cool to be seen around upset. And he looked like an asshole anyway. Not cool. Go back to your emo world, Leon.

I'm not familiar with Crispin Freeman's work, but I was impressed by his acting, too. Fredrick, as a character, is basically the average cliché for the mysterious British guy, but I think Freeman's voice allowed Fredrick's personality to reach a healthy medium, so I enjoyed that.
The voice-acting, in general, was actually quite impressive for a movie holding the Resident Evil title, for which I'm grateful. I don't really have an opinion one way or the other about Paul Mercier, Leon's voice, but I will admit it was nice having some familiarity, being that he was Leon's voice in RE4. Hunnigan's voice actress, too, was a nice familiarity.
On the subject of Leon.... Well, he is definitely not amongst one of my favorite characters (and, truthfully, never has been), and I have a large opinion on the matter, but I'm going to stay quiet about it. I'd hate for a discussion on Degeneration to morph into another debate about Leon. :3

Court's voice acting was amazing...whoever did Angela's voice sucked. I hated the way she spoke. Crispin Freeman I thought did a wonderful job as well. I didn't really have any issues with anything outside of Leon. I'm not even one of the hardcore Leon haters either...he usually doesn't bother me but in the movie I couldn't stand him.

I also think its amazing that Claire gets hurt....but Leon is back handed by Curtis across that hudge platform and slams into a wall, then not three seconds later he's up and running again like nothing ever happened. That entire ending sequence with Leon was way too over the top.
Are there any opinions here about the voice-acting? I know I say this a lot, but wow... Alyson Court is just so endlessly talented. Leon may have overshadowed Claire in the movie, but I think Alyson Court outshined all of the other actors in performance. And, not only because her voice is so distinct as being "the" Claire, but because she really was the most believable out of all the actors.

Hell even the zombies weren't in the movie too long. I would have been happier with some more of them. I watched it with my brother and the moment he was over, he looked at me and said "That was it?" and was pissed because there were only a few people shown being killed by the zombies. He was also no impressed with G-Curtis either.

There's tension and action for you.
But hell. Id settle for the UBCS Raccoon mission. How they either die or get picked off one by one. Something similar to the "Outpost". Add lots and lots of realistic combat from the UBCS champs part and it would be kick-ass.

Personally I'm kind of done with Leon.Did you like the flashback of Claire against Birkin? I thought that was very thoughtful of them to throw that in there as well as the RE2 flashbacks.
Who knows, I'd imagine Leon, because he seems to go on a mission at the end of it. Theres really endless possibilities.

EDIT: That was Claire against Birkin? Leon A Claire B? NOOOOOOO!
And RE2 Leon > Degen Leon > RE4 Leon. And that doesn't take much to say considering his character is mediocre at best. But he was more human in RE2. More like a cunt in RE4, and more like a somewhat likeable plank in Degeneration.

Spoiler:
The part where he is hanging upside down by practically one leg holding not only Angela and G-Curtis...his body so would not have been able to withstand the tension. And then when the walkway swings and he still manages to hold on to both the rail and her...stupid. Purely stupid.

The times when John McClane kind of characters were cracking jokes and killing people off hand and off hip with a machine gun that kicks enough to scew up your aim, are pretty much over. People appreciate gritty realism a lot more these days. Even Die Hard 4 was likeable with McClanes oneliners, because we expect him to throw those.
Give me back the real Leon, Itachi!
I don't care what anyone says. At least when Leon made one-liners and comments in RE4, he sounded like a dick because he wanted to. "No thanks BRO!" had a clear heaping help of sarcasm.
"The song of the infected..." when hearing the maons of zombies.
"I'm gonna scrub this virus from the face of the Earth..."
Speaking of that whole scene with Leona nd the two SRT people, anyone else wonder why Leon didn't act sooner when the zombie attacked Greg (Craig?) throught he window? I counted maybe ten seconds he had to shoot the monster. I guess it was supposed to be tense and suspenseful but all I was wondering was "where's all that super reaction speed from RE4?" Luckily it returns later when he is knocked onto that platform by G--Curtis and has to run away.
So Leon is as superhuman as ever only now he's cmompletely unlikeable. Unless you like bricks.

osted: 12:44am Subject: RE: Degeneration Review [Spoilers]
Hey everybody. Just got done watching Degeneration. Here are my thoughts.
Degen Leon apologists and RE4 Leon haters are ridiculous. "He's more professional!" Translation: He's made out of a block of wood.
"He's more serious!!!" Translation: He'll make you feel nothing...just like him.

Also, question. Didn't Curtis leave that picture in his place before torching it? How did it survive?
Another point, when Fred is talking to Claire, did anyone else notice her tick? Turn head, nod, turn head back, nod, turn head to him, nod...she did that for several seconds over and over again.
An interesting point on canon, the Birkin flashback showed Leon with Birkin who is holdin ga pipe. So doesn't that kinda prove once and for all it's Claire A Leon B? As if people didn't already know but just wondering.
Second to last point, I liked Curtis. As I've said before with Sergei, the RE series features some of the most basic villains around. "I R EVIL. I KILL. MWAHAHAHAHA" kinda evil which you can't really care about at all. Curtis presented a unique event in the RE series: ANTI-HEROES! He's taking out the bad guy sin his own way even if it is messed up. Of course he was being used by Crispin Freeman but then again, CrispiN Freeman is pure win.
Finally, I gotta say I liked the movie. I liked Valkyrie more but I still liked this. I'll watch it again someday.
EDIT: That was Claire against Birkin? Leon A Claire B? NOOOOOOO!
