If you have a TV capable of 1080p there definitely is a difference.
    Indeed.

But unless you're sitting on a good viewing distance and have good vision (or just happens to sit too close), you wont really benefit "that much" from it.
You're able to see the difference, if put next to eachother, but you don't really benefit from it in such a way that you'd consider it worth a multi-thousand upgrade

I may point out that good DVD transfers upscaled to 1080p via. HDMI (or VGA) with a 360 look absolutely fantastic on my 40" screen (which I sit about 3 meters from). But I do notice a difference between the DVDs and HD DVDs that I have. But it's not like I'd say the upgrade was justified if it weren't for the fact that I got the HD DVD player for free and most of the movies for less than their DVD price (And this is also the reason why I haven't put a BluRay capable player on the list of "to get" items yet.)

Its about one and a half hours.

Neptune, once you see it, it cannot be unseen.

It really is that bad, some of the downers in this movie put a dent on an overall good experience. Check Temps review on reH, it sums it up very well and is accurate too.

akin to Futurama: you've watched it...... you cant unwatch it

yeah it cool, i know the story, THIA member, TheSelfishGene saw the film in Japan and posted the entire story in a podcast.

but thanks for the heads up.

its a good read, and i like the speculation that Willpharma appear in File #2. i like speculation like that.

one of yr members has posted a streaming of it, i watched the opening again, cant/wont watch more... lol

yes, the speed of zombification is way too fast but it's just for plot reasons. it's not like the games were ever consistent about it.
I am going to cyber-headbutt the next person that says this.

There is no set time for infection. It can be immediately after or weeks, even months before you turn into a shambling wall of decaying meat.

Right, yeah. I listened to that one aswell, they did a very good summary of it and/but luckily watching the movie wasnt really spoiled by it.

Its terribad when people have no common sense. Its piracy no matter how the film is watched. I suspect as soon as a mod gets to see the thread, the link is gone.

Devlin. With RE2 intro excluded, the games actually have been pretty consistent in the infection rate. I always speculated that, as with many progressing disease (even common cold), a body has to be subconscious (or sleeping). Ever noticed that youre not actually feeling ill after a day outside in cold? But after sleep, you feel sick? REmake progresses even further on that. You kill (incapacitate) a zombie, and it turns into a crimson head. The process seems to have its laws or logic.

Dissappointing. The plot was ok but somethings did just not make any sense whatsover. Action wise i expected some elements to be a bit over the top but not that far over the top.
                          "I've got 100 cows."
                          "Well I've got 104 friends."

i havent condoned the piracy anywhere to be fair, its almost enivitable that the film wud get leaked.

peoples infection in the games isnt that consistant. its subjective. the people on rockfort were infected pretty quickly after weskers attacks, but the mansion incident took a longer time.

People will take differing time 2 "rot" and zombiefy

The movie was much better than I expected! It's not a masterpiece but it's a very enjoyable movie!

I'll definitely rent the DVD when it's officially released.

There is no set rate for turning into a zombie. There are multiple factors. The individual and method of infection being the primary two. Most people bitten first hand and killed will turn almost immediately. Anyone bitten and still alive will take sometime longer. Dead bodies rise within minutes. Mere minor exposure to the virus (such as that exhibited by the Keeper and the Outbreak survivors) will take days or weeks, while major exposure (as in, virus released intentionally) will result in a much shorter time frame, say a few hours. Degeneration doesn't change anything about the infection rate. In-fact it remains consistent with the rest of the series.

However, you do raise a fine point with the sleeping aspect. But it only applies to the Crimson Head at this point.
