Or I watched this sequence when Leon was holding hands with Angela...
Not to mention, THIS IS movie, and not real life.

And about cheering someone, I'm not talking about SRT members during the mission, I'm talking about Leon's talk with Claire (when she blame herself that she wanted to stop WilPharma and it appears they were creating a vaccine to T-virus) or Angela, when she saw Curtis' house burning.
Its not only logical, human, to let a strong person deal with the situation, but its also polite.
Like I've said, being a professional during the mission - great, I liked that.
Being an emotionless dude with stoic face during conversation with people (friends included) - not great.

"Courage is being the only one who knows youre afraid."
These quotes dont come from nowhere. If you wanted to see an emotional government agent, then thats your reason to be disappointed. Im just trying to tell you that a profession with massive responsibility requires you to not to just be able to be cool at all times, wasting no time or concetration on emotional discharges, but you have to be there for people. And "being there" doesnt mean you pat people on their backs and make a sad face.
